Could you upload the latest server log where you managed to get a disconnect? They live in: Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\log On a typical install %LOCALAPPDATA% will be C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local OSX: ~/Library/Application Support/Uber Entertainment/Planetary Annihilation/log Linux: ~/.local/Uber Entertainment/Planetary Annihilation/log Just delete all of the logs you find there, start PA, try to get a disconnect and upload the resulting server-*.txt. You can use the "Upload a File" button on this forum for that.
Close. It should start with "server-" though. You don't have those? Maybe check one directory up from the log dir? If it's not there, then it means you are not using the local server after all. Just to be sure, in PA, can you go to Settings -> Server and force the local server to "on"? Then delete all of the logs again and try to get a disconnect again.
Well, that's odd. The log just stops. I was hoping there would be a crash report at least. Could you try turning the local server off (in Settings -> Server) and try again? That means you will be using Uber's servers instead of your own computer, so you'd be playing over the internet. I am just wondering if the server crashes happen on-line as well.
I tried with local server off as you told me to and the server connection was still lost after around 30 minutes. A new log file wasn't created though so I have nothing to post :/
Yeah, it wouldn't, since you were using Uber's server now. But since it happens on Uber's servers as well, it is probably a bug in the server program. Can you reliably reproduce it? That is, each time you try that particular mission, it results in a server crash eventually?
yes, I've managed to reproduce the bug on every run of this specific mission (I haven't seen it in other missions, but none of them were this long)
Could you post as much details as possible? Like difficulty, tech you have, subcommanders, what system you are playing on, etc., etc.? @mkrater : Reproducable server crash for you.
1) Difficulty: Normal (not 100% sure about this one) 2) Commander: Rallus 3) Loadout: Vehicle Commander 4) Size: Uber 5) Technologies: Artillery Tech, Sub Commander (Ancilius), Advanced Air Tech, Advanced Orbital Tech, Advanced Bot Tech, Storage Compression Tech, Complete Vehicle Tech, Advanced Defense Technology 6) Battle: Orange Faction Leader (Safir-Synchronous System) 7) System: Windows 7, 64 Bit 8) CPU: Intel Core i5-4400 CPU @ 3.10 GHz 9) Memory: 8GB RAM Crash happens about 30-40 minutes into the mission Anything else that I missed and could be important?
I am on the last system in an Uber sized game of PA. 12 minutes into the game I get disconnected from the server. Repeatability: 100% (I've been doing the same game multiple times per day for a week, same fail over and over) I have done the following system changes since the problem began: Upgraded GPU (GTX 750Ti) Installed latest GPU drivers Upgraded RAM (20 GB) Reinstalled Game Moved game to SSD And I still cannot finish this game. Twitter posts say to email support Emails to support receive no reply. Complaints of no reply from support say post here. So here I am.
been trying to complete the comander battle. I am purple vs orange commander and it lets me play for 13 min 21sc then it disconnects from server every time. The timer is always plus or minus 2 seconds from the above.
I noted something interesting today: 1. When I play the last battle in my uber sized battle it looses connection to the server at 12 minutes. 2. When I start a new uber sized battle, it plays just fine.
