There are two options until AMD fix the opengl drivers, install a older working AMD driver, or try the dll work around.

Be sure to post something on the AMD forums.

    And/or report the bug.

Thank you so much, this worked for me. Had the newest version of every driver, reinstalled multiple times and just couldn't figure this one out.

Hopefully I can lead somebody in the same position here to this fix by describing my own symptoms. (It took me a lot of googling to get here.)

When I'm in a game of planetary annihilation I get these weird flickering grey lines (artifacts) that could've been stretched polygons all over my screen. They seem to affect only certain planets and gets weirder if I fo
cus on the poles of the affected planets.

In case the above link doesn't work, I've reuploaded the 16.7.2 drivers to my dropbox.

Cheers guys! Best of luck fixing this gamebreaking bug.

Updating my AMD drivers to the latest available and then applying the dlls seemed to do the trick for me. Much appreciated.

Place the 16.7.2 dll files from the 16.7.2.zip in the your Steam\SteamApps\common\Planetary Annihilation Titans\bin_x64 folder.

    Usually.

Thanks, the DLL workaround worked for me as well (once I got Win 10 to cooperate).

You only need to put the DLLs in your game folder. Don't need to mess with your drivers at all.

I just saw there is a new driver version: 16.8.3 beta
Did anyone have a chance to test if the bug is fixed in this version?

    Btw:
The DLLs are just driver libs. If they are present in the game directory, they have priority over the system wide driver parts. My point is that there is no guarantee that everything is properly replaced. If the system wide driver is still used partially, you can run into really weird bugs caused by using two different driver versions at the same time.

Also, downloading DLLs from an unknown source and putting it in your game directory is a good way to catch all kinds of nasty suprises. ;) Thankfully @mikeyh pointed to the official link, which makes this particular instance of DLL juggling only half as bad.

Is that confirmed with a clean install of both drivers and PA?

    I can confirm the fix.
Just upgraded to 16.9.1 AMD drivers on my RX480, rebooted and had a nice game without graphics glitches.

For the record I deleted the files from the workaround and updated the driver as normal. All working fine now.
