Jay, I know that you are that way, and that is how I used to play. Private matches turned into this 'scene' where you can only go if want to follow rigid rules on how you are supposed to play, that is fine, but you are not going to get everyone to like doing that.
People started acting like it was some sort of a sin if you just like to play random pub games or even private matches without being persecuted for what class you are playing, how you are playing that class and so on, ad nauseum. There are usually a lot of guests logged in to this forum and they see how they will be treated if they have a differing opinion from the status quo.
Many people on this forum are acting like the game is dead, just because a lot of users simply do not want to play the way that the so-called 'competitive' crowd does. The community is split, there are plenty of players out there. Basically, you reap what you sow.

we have encouraged and fine tuned a good wave of private match players and weeded out some ppl who didnt cut it and did whatever they want it. private interest and competition are at peak levels, and there have been some great days of games over the past month. we sowed what we wanted and are reaping exactly what we hoped for. keep hating turntables, the one man idealistic & ignorant club

Everyone that I have played with so far has been great The overall atmosphere is friendly and competitive, as it should be.

Well, you are a nice person, but you are also a woman. There aren't many of you on MNC and I don't believe anyone on here ever has a problem with the women, you are not a threat to their over-inflated egos. This is the one time a lot of these kids get to have an actual woman say something to them, besides "may I see an I.D."

Lol@ people saying that thier private match community is thriving and I am missing out, bahahaha. Take a look at the name of this thread and then smack yourself. All I ever see is you guys trying your hardest to get people to join your little nazi-style games and more and more people seeing how lame it is to be screamed at by people on your own team if you play a class a certain way. You may be acting like you are all welcoming and just want to help people learn, that's bullsh*t, you just want more peons to destroy and mold them in to drones with no mind of thier own, asking Chronicle whether or not they should do this or that. GTFO here with that.

I was referring to the chat within the few private matches I have played, not how I personally am treated. I think that most people here are just looking for a good game.
