I just played a classic game from Titans mode. When I tried to look at the reply, the planets loaded and I could hare some sounds but could not see and units at all. I switched to classic mode and the reply work fine. Lobby ID 4609299038421891874
Just like the many other bugs in this game, this one has been there for a long time with no fix. Rather than fixing these things, they decided to focus their efforts on paid DLC. Why fix the engine when you can just slap a new coat of paint on the car? By the time people notice it'll be too late.
I received this reply from a dev back in March... @forrestthewoods "It's surprisingly difficult and has to be mixed into the schedule with other things. And it's something that can be fixed by only one or two people. I've got a sticky note about it on my desk. It won't fall through the cracks and be forgotten. I can't give an ETA." Haven't heard from him since!
Yeah but they would have more money available to employ extra coders if they didn't employ these artists and designers. It's a matter of priorities.
By the way, do you get it consistently not working in Titans and working in classic? As far as I know it's random, so that would be a neat find.
Tried again in Titans mode and it seem to worked fine. I didn't realise was something random. That's not going to be easy to fix.
Ubers TODOs: You mean programmer art all around would be a good idea? Remember the "white light" planet explosion? That happens when you don't have an art person available to take care of making it look good. Artists do amazing and really important work
That's not what I said and you know it. What I said was "artwork and coding of new PAID dlc content should not be prioritised ahead of fixing issues with the original game". Not only have they not fixed the issues, but they have ignored my requests for an update. This is what they have done and it is stuff like this that gives Uber its bad reputation. This isn't a witch hunt. Uber have themselves to blame for all the bad press they are getting.
