Cuz anyone noob will get a tons of stealth units easily.Game would not be balanced.
And anti-submarine units like the narwhal and torpedo launcher wouldn't counter that? And at any rate, "Stealth" seems to mean "does not show up on radar" It will still be visible to units in range.
What's the point of a submarine which is not stealthy? It's just a destroyer without any anti-land guns.
To follow up on this, I wasn't able to see any perf difference with the mod on or off, so it may just be a weird issue with your specific build.
And I checked out the kingdoms collide map and after awhile with a 3v3 (5 other AI players) I saw it drop into the 10-15 fps range. I was running on Uber settings and it was a local server, which may not have helped. I was seeing about 60-70% CPU utilization divided fairly nicely across all 6 cores
I'm not sure what could be causing you to get frame rates that low on min settings with your hardware, really it should crush my own in every way worth measuring...
Not sure if this is intended or a bug, but bombers really make the Krakens useless, bombers just decimate them, and if you want to put narwhals in with the Krakens then you no longer have the element of surprise :\
Just something I noticed. Maybe the Kraken can get an armor type and the bombers can deal 0 percent damage to it.
afaik bombers are meant to hit subs ... so no ...
i would rather say it´s time to get in jamming vehicles and ships as well as a structure for the next update ...
The point is that Orcas,Leviathans,Stingrays can't kill them. So they are can change naval battles so much without stealth.
Well I think that's a mistake if it was meant to happen.
Might just be a case where those units are only good on giant all-water maps but not so useful on the smaller maps we generally play on.
To my understanding, it's basically subs>destroyer>frigate>subs. They lack the utility of the light artilery/light ship guns/anti-air, tho.

this way bumblebees and hornets are usefull as well ...
I heavily disliked homeworld, but I am willing to give it at least sub-par because there are plenty of people who liked it

I add my vote for stealthy subs. like U-boats. sneaking about, preying on shipping.
Also the kraken's rapid fire missiles is really cool to watch
Unfortunately, I don't have an ETA for this. It's something we're still working on.
Something just occured to me.
Wouldn't it be smart to make Bombers unable to hit subs, but instead give Gunships(T2 attack plane, not gunboats!) anti-sub depth charges?
That would be really well balanced I think, and give that underused plane a new purpose.
You mean make Sub's only vulnerable to other Naval or T2 air?
