Idea: Use PA Stats automatches to find good planets by have the automatches on random planets (not the default random generator, my own one: something like "only 1 planet, only this range of settings..."). So if good ones turn up PA Stats will have them stored to use. There may also be some automatically mex spread analysis on them. Would that be okay? Or is playing on known planets more important? Also I'll be home tomorrow and then update it to work in the latest patch.
How do I use the YouTube video ID thing? I have put in the ID for several videos (the v=XXXXXXXX) but nothing happens.
It should play the video once you find a game. However it may be buggy, patches changed stuff and I never cared to check if it actually still works.
Nothing broke, that's what you get for playing with an economy modifier like this: http://pastats.com/chart?gameId=160188 Can delete that game later...
Could you change how average usage is calculated so that it looks at the average usage for each game and finds the average from that instead of just combining all metal used and all metal produced?
I could, but I feel the current implementation is more correct. All that is missing is some function that completely prevents sending data from games that have unusual eco modifiers.
Do you need to have an account on the ladder part of the PAStats site to participate in the ladder? I installed the mod and it just hangs on "searching..." forever...
No, but maybe nobody else was searching. That happens. To verify no technical issues are a part of it, ask for other players somewhere to also search.
