something weird was happening just now or maybe is still happening.
On different clients I could see different worlds:
The xml messages received by both clients reflect what is visible in the screenshots, I also joined via pidgin which yielded the upper version in it.
I have no idea why this would happen, I assume the server maybe had some issue. I don't know.
Can anyone confirm if there are still issues? I tried a few times but always landed "in the same place" since a few minutes. Maybe it is fixed and a bunch of people are still lost somewhere in a parallel world.
Looks a lot like some sort of xmpp server error, the friendlist "on/off" states are consistent "wrong/right" with who is visible in the chatroom. Maybe some kind of server issue.

Thats why i cant see people that are online even tho they are?
Seems that way. I wonder if xmpp.uberent.com actually is more than one server and maybe they lost connection too each other, as I seem to randomly join into two totally different halcyon and the friendlist is consistent with the chat. In world A mikeyh is online. In world B he is not, considering he is practically online 24/7 I'd say world A is the original one. Kinda like a irc netsplit, but with a client that has no idea what that even is.
Also after a while sometimes it seems the connection fails and on reconnect it kinda merges the rooms, though the reconnect code still has flaws and usually kills the chat connection.
I noticed that if you open PA 2 times you will be in the chat 2 times and some wierd **** was going on too.
If you use one and the same account the older PA will break basically.
I am pretty sure this is a netsplit, I setup a proxy to track where exactly the chat connects and I found the IPs of our "worlds":
the old world: 220.127.116.11
the new world: 18.104.22.168
What chatroom shows was tied to what IP I happened to connect to in ~10 tests I did, that mostly ended in the new world.
Issue seems to have resolved itself

I'm still seeing DNS resolution to two IPs addresses.
Can you please check if this is intended and if not which is the correct IP address?
I'd guess it is a loadbalancer? As long as the servers are in sync I doubt that is an issue.
The chat room is popping up at randoms times. While browsing the lobby or if I'm in game and have the social bar open.
yeah saw that as well. Very likely a sideeffect of the server issues today
I'm tired, REALLY tired of this being a mod and not vanilla.
