Power plants will have a different explosion vfx.
I actually wanted to play some GW, played 1 battle, saw that some fx are bad, and now I'm sitting here doing fx for like 4 hours. Here is the plan for the next update:
- Special explosion fx for energy generators
Done, removed purple rolling smoke, added flying debris.
- Remake big building explosion
Done, now it's actually look nice.
- Added glow to flying debris from big building explosions & generator explosions, because it looks cooler.
All 3 thing listed above can be seen here:
Notice some randomness in debris, there are 3 stages - maybe I need to tweak some timing and chances.
- Proper explosion for all orbital structures
Not done yet.
- Some additions to Helios' teleport fx, because why not.

And some orbital stuff
awesome stuff man, the ares effect in particular. do you have any ideas for naval explosions floating around in your head? i dont really have any idea how youre doing this stuff, but something like a blueified version of your mex explosion with less smoke and different timing(to enhance the water-ness, of coarse) would be nice. ships in supcom 2 blow up real nice.. cough.

- additions to idle fx for Ares and Manhattan
- additions for Helios' teleporter fx
- new explosion for orbital factory, now it will also drop down from the orbit
EDIT: Manhhatan fx is not working because of reasons unknown to mankind.

I never did water stuff, and I don't really want to.
For the things like the anchor and Helios I feel like they should angle themselves when fall from space like... Well I can't post any pictures but like any re-entering space craft or debris. It just feels weird for them to be falling straight down. Re-entry effects would also be nice, I personally wouldn't want them that much but I'm sure many people do.
I'll think about tilting those falling things. As to re-entry effects - I don't really know how to represent them, and they usually underneath the spacecraft so you won't see much of it.
The nuclear explosion should have a ring of clouds that forms around it.
Well it works with legion, I didn't notice any crashed.
Could you make your fancy mesh particles for Legion orbital and stuff?
I like the airships explosions, I think it's a great improvement, but I don't like the TITANS ones. The original effect was perfect : a simple shockwave that destroys everything. But using lava and dust is not a great effect... I wish you could separate your mod in two mods...
I really like this mod. And the explosions seem enhanced when I have one of the alternative skyboxes installed.
It's too boring and time-consuming. Also I have no idea how to make it work together.
Well all opinions are subjective, and I really enjoy stuff that I did. If you can't stand this particular effects - you can delete it manually from the mod, so the game will use standard one.
Custom skyboxes are mostly darker than original one, so there is more contrast, this might make effects look better.
Mod is (maybe) updated with some additions to Helios teleport effects.
Now with more sparks.
