The Jerr absolutely destroys in pubs, but didn't perform too well as a gunner in privates. I think he mains sniper, and I can't remember if he got a shot to play that, but I haven't really seen him since. Lot's of players don't want to play for some reason. These aren't people who even know what the atmosphere is like, so it can't be blamed on bad attitudes or stacked teams.

Risky played her first private the other day and all she got was trash talk from people like sigmar and some others cause no one knew who she is. Funny thing is she helped the team she was on win the game and she kind of got discouraged from wanting to play any more due to the lack of respect just because shes got no bot beside her name.

Discouragement is the last thing this game needs for new players

The funny thing is that most of the people doing the discouraging are middle of the road/average players.

the problem is you played with sigmar. he went 1 - 0 - 6 in a private and talked **** to the rest of our team.

See the chron's thought process Q&A thread? That format should follow for in game matches containing new players. There have been times where I've told new players what their focus or roles should be. You can't yell at your assassin for going for kills or not watching the lanes. You can't yell at your support for hacking a firebase or healing the assault. You can't yell at the sniper for being in the bot lanes.

People don't want to hear how terrible they are, and they really aren't likey to listen. It's all in the wording and delivery. I've told supports that don't like to follow gunners 24/7 that I need a constant leash only because their gunner is leashed and I will lose that battle every time. You set that in their mind that you will lose without them, and it's good enough. I've told assassin's that they should just travel lane to lane killing bots, even push into their base if we're stuck in ours to clear bots, because it diverts the attention of enemy pro's and relieves some pressure on the front. We don't need them going for kills in our base, and that's generally good enough. Explainations get results.

Hmmm... Anyone remember my first Privates.. I was forced to play support... And I was getting yelled at the whole time and I was just lmao... I was following my gunner... Most of the time but when I knew he was just going to die I just ran to my base ...and waited for him to spawn... My gunner was sooooo bad, died like 20 times I didn't stop to make a firebase from Wat I remember tho... most of the game didn't die then started dying alot cuz I was being called bad. -.- My gunner was MLG, A.K.A boostvention... My first impression on him was ur bad but I ignored him... He still is...

Fact: I play progressively worse the more I am yelled at. I would guess that there are other people that are the same way.

Private match stats are very different than pubs. It makes it hard to tell how you're doing especially for new people. So, yelling at them or giving them crap on their first couple of games is only going to discourage them possibly to the point of them not coming back.

Now if only more people could realize this.

for any newer players reading this thread, if you want to get into private matches feel free to add me, chron2cle. feedle's privates are good to get your feet wet in as his usually involve more fresh faces and less PM vets, but you are welcome to either setting as feedle does know the basics per class and whats to be expected in terms of role play.

the trash talking isnt from people in game its in the lobbies and parties before game. Its not the usaul respectable players is what im saying. Someone like sigmar discourages someone whos never played before.

Hell I hear are the crap everyone says about me ie: kckzi but i still play and it kind of gives me more of an edge to prove people wrong.

I'm just saying there people who need to get their feet wet and stay out of pubs and try something new for once. I usually only get a private going if nothing else is going on and everyone isn't in a game with chorn or he has one going and im not playing.

Also custom pubs are a good thing if you can't quite get enough people for a private. I recomend giving it a shot chron as randoms join in to fill those spots of people who just leave. No matter whos in the game it still continues and teams recylce depending on whos playing not whos in parties.
