Not If I can find a way around it Garat; expect large walls of text in the future.

Early 90's low-poly stuff (ie TA) is actually fairly similar to modern low-poly stuff, in that there's so little concrete detail it behaves like PA's "broad strokes" design, so that's why TA hasn't degraded much in my eyes. Also nostalgia.

Thanks for the answer Garat. Can we expect Unit modding easy enough to have the community expanding the set of units like it happened with TA or Supcom ?

Well, just based on the current setup, I'd say it's easier than it ever was in TA, and about as easy, or maybe a bit easier than SupCom. And we certainly hope to make it more extendable than either.

My current process for adding a new unit to the game is: Copy existing unit that looks kind of like I want, and re-write the JSON to prototype in the behaviors I want. Then I harangue an engineer for the actual code functionality I need. :)

So providing support for brand new tools or weapon systems remains a bit more of an open question, taking any existing functionality in the game and using it in new and creative ways should be easy. It frankly already is.

Thanks. Is this extensible to the unit model/animation also ?
Have also another question regarding weapons & projectiles effects : Is it something which can be modded ? I know units are made of polygons. But what about the special effects ? as far as i can remember, in Supcom 2, this could not be changed because GPG was using licensed third party plugins.

In all questions for modding, if something was moddable in Ta or SupCom1/FA, consider that a basis for how moddable PA will be. Long run it'll be even better thought.
