question about getting TITANS on steam

hello I saw on the Facebook page that there is "a huge discount on steam for anyone who owns the original"
I own the original, in fact I had my edition pre-ordered (the $60 edition I believe; the one that enabled beta access) but it was not on my steam: it was on someone else's Paypal (as a birthday present) so would I still be able to get the discount? thanks!
and if so, can someone guide me through how to get it [edit: the discount] onto my personal steam? thanks

i bought mine by loading up PA (vanilla, the one you own) and buying it through the armoury

That was with the Steam Launcher though, no idea if it's different through Uber Launcher

no I don't have it on my steam, but is there still a way to get the discount if I were to buy TITANS on my steam?

Afaik you can just link PA to your steam account. I think you loose your ability to use the launcher, tho?

Oh, I thought you can't update over the launcher anymore after linking. So there is literally no drawback to connecting PA to your Steam account?

Thx, wonder where i got that. Maybe I just confused it with KSP, where you either get KSP store access or steam access.
