This PTE build is looking pretty solid. PA has come a long way since the days of Alpha. Good work Uber.

Just played my first match on the PTE-build and i have got to say it´s a whole new experience. Now even my rather average Laptop (i5-2419M , 8GB RAM , GT 540M) produces smooth 60 Fps throughout the whole match and the UI-Lag is almost completely gone! That´s a performance -update for sure! Thanks to the Uber-Team, you are doing great!

You have to use the Uber launcher (note you are able to do this even if you play on Steam)...

When you open the launcher, sign in then on top right (next to your name) click the arrow to bring up the menu. Under there select "build option" and make sure both Stable and PTE are ticked.

Once you've done this you can then choose between stable and PTE using the drop down "stream" menu. To play PTE select this, then hit Verify and it will download the latest PTE version.

To switch back to Stable, just select that option from the drop down "stream" list. It's a very neat system.

Be aware that there are some bugs in the current PTE (I just played a 7 way FFA with 6 Uber AI's and at late game the UI went a little strange, but the performance was still good- circa 15 fps with 4 planets fully colonized by AI players).
