Pre-Faction 3 Reveal Faction Name Suggestions Thread

Machines going for a total machine domination without biology.
As machines use streams of nano particles and use biology for reclaiming energy
means that they see nature as an obstacle for destroying the enemy.
Thou biology on itself is natures most advanced machine.
Carbon is the strongest material for machines and nature is all about carbon.
This concludes It must be made from Silicium with some kind of radioactive metal fuel
be the combination of its form and its powersource.
Thus call the robots faction "Triga".

As for the name of the commander is concerned...
If man made machine from visible matter it would call for a name from this perspective.
Being a pure element it would be symmetric, brutal, endless and omnipotent for eternal domination.
Looking for knowledge and thus stalling advancement.

I would more suggest that the destruction of nature is a necesary result of command and control efforts.
Later after all this destruction and desert terraforming you
see the buildup of the new Eden when these bots start reproducing nature like gods to there likings for energy storage.
and thus even more brutal reasons... etc..

I think the name of the commander should be Bismuth. The reason for this is that it keeps in line with the elemental theme, and it also reminds me of the Germanic Ruler - Otto van Bismark, and the subsequent WWII Battleship named after him, The Bismark. Both names struck fear into their enemies at the time, and it seems fit that an organic-hating, unrelenting, unforgiving machination of war would strike fear into his enemies.

Lol. I'll have to think about the leader name more. Just looking through synonyms of Core & related terms I came across these 2 which stood out to me.

When I read the back story I immediately imagined the SC2 Terran Orgin story. If those who don't know. The Terran race in Starcraft is nothing more then the prisoners and undesirables of the Earth population sent deep into space. Their computers malfunctioned and lost all navigation equipment. They were derelict in space until they crash landed on tarsonis and Korhal, forming the seeds of a New human empire. These robots don't seem to want a Utopia if they are concerned with making sure everyone else respects the Utopia. They seem to have some cultish undertones of wanting everyone to be part of the Utopian (You either a 1 or a 0 apparently to these robots.). There also seems to be a good back story under the "Commander" Wanting their vision to be the vision for his robotic paradise, that it can be viewed as a power hungry dictator.

Judging from the short back story the initial concept sounds eerily familer. It can't be determined if they were initially:

• Prisoners
• Travelers
• Expansion robots rebooted.

Since we already have one Fraction of robots that are robots rebooted and these robots have some recollection of who they are and where they come from. They could be prisoners or travelers. (It's still uncertain if robots can have prisoners) If they are these people who like the idea of transforming planets and turning it into their own peaceful robotic havens it seems they are on a more destructive robot side but within reason.

I think the best factions sound better with grass roots outkasts and amassing of allys quickly.

And if they stand for Utopia /Making every robot either want this one particular robot's Utopia or perish/ Hate progenitors .... It almost sounds like ... Nazi germany...

I like these names since they come from Germany, Russia and Japan. They kind of all had their periods of Utopian uprising.
