They costed the same as a pw give or take 1 metal and 5 energy and were absolutely useless in a competetive scene.

Pyros were awful. Couldn't hit anything that was moving well at all and they were too expensive for how poor they were.
Thuds were very vulnerable to gators and flashes. Storms were considered the best infantry unit in the game, but kbots weren't nearly as common as samsons/slashers and flashes. Slashers and Storms both had small advantages over their arm counterparts, but the only core thing that really gave them an edge were the shadow bombers. In their construction they were behind because everything walked slowly for them and they didn't have a fark, in raiding they were behind because AKs and Gators did less damage than their arm counterparts (MUCH less in the case of the AK), Core didn't have much going for them.

I can see why that makes sense.

I made a beautiful mod, where I changed the unit cannon to fire Doxen.

Only um... it fires lasers, as normal. And Gil-E's fire Doxen.

(Actually, everything that fires a particular ammo type fire Doxen... At least I proved I can make something somewhere fire Doxen!)

And yet I won many competitive matches in TA using core against players playing arm...

The fark was annoying, however most 1 v 1 games I played ended before they really came into play (and for core you could always spam air fabbers). The unit I felt was most OP from TA was the hawk- it outclassed the vamp and in large numbers was often used for com snipes in games that went on to long. I agree core were at a significant disadvantage once you got to late game T2. Still cans were very strong for the money, and <3 Goliath tanks- it wasn't all bad. Also the rapier was better than the brawler at base assault (but again worse against moving targets).

I must admit I tended to play a lot of GOW (where I agree the shadow bombers owned), or on big flat maps where you can make use of the core heavy unit advantages over arm (I never found the movement speed effected my expansion much compared to arm players- the com was slower but cons in general were about the same).

The reason Arm got so many Hawks up was due to FARKs. The difference between hawks and vamps would have been marginal if not for them.

Mavericks were cheaper than goliaths and did more damage. Core couldn't stand up against arm at T2.

What if we use doxes for more than one dox, but dox for a massive force? I tend to call blobs dox, and just a few doxes, doxes.

    I can't pick both!:p
