Yes total war does that but these aren't humans.

I win games when outnumbered......I play loads of 4ffa and get sandwiched all the time I'd say my win percentage is about70 in those situations. I don't always but usually, also helps with the constant noob influx we have currently. My point is its possible to secure the win here in pa with less numbers..... albeit very difficult with the current punch for punch we have with units but all it takes is a few to kill a comm....

What does having more different ways to destroy or counter something have to do with realism ?

Side A: Create something in addition to more range and power.
Side B: Show me one real war in history that didnt rely on just that.

    Obviously arguing with reality.

And you don't need armour for that. You need terrain mechanics; obstructions and elevation.

The problem isn't the combat system. The problem is the world generator.

    Have a nice day.

I STRONGLY disagree that this game is "biggest army wins."

You can win by snipes, nukes, flanking, planet smashing, laser satellites, and more.

It's also very possible to destroy a larger army when you play right.

PA has a unique play style. Just takes some time to figure out, just like playing any new game.

Yes I agree that better terrain can add a lot of game play just like it did for the original TA.

Yes I'm not asking for morale mechanic just pointing out an example where a smaller army could win vs a larger army using superior units and terrain advantage.

And you still get that in a simulated system like PA has. Maybe not currently, but as already said, things like the unit/weapon roster is far from complete currently and what IS there isn't really indicative of anything yet.
