Planetary landings, how do they work?

    Makes sense, and also adds an element of risk/reward to planets with lots of potential resource benefit, like gas giants.

    i wonder what the final orbital mechanics will be like. We saw that the Asteroid in the video was indicated to do nearly something that we could call a Swing by maneuver :p

    It would pretty awesome to have some orbit mechanics that would be at least a little realistic, though I know, that would be too hardcore for most players^^

    @topic, I would like if there would be a way to transport land and air units in large groups onto a new planet, or enemy planet. And it should really be hard to counter it. to annihilate a planet should imo always be a last resort, and therefore it needs to be possible to conquer a planet without annihilating it
