    Planetary Annihilation

    Current Build: 49303
    Date: June 11th, 2013
    Platforms: Windows 64-bit ONLY currently. We're working hard to get other platforms up and running, and 32-bit versions out as well, but as of today, we don't have clients we can provide for those platforms. XP is NOT supported, and likely will not be. There are .NET dependencies and a number of other issues with this now 13 year old legacy OS that make it almost impossible to support.

    We pushed a second build because of some significant improvements in targeting and server performance in larger battles.

    Build 49303:

    - Weapons are now targeting center of mass which should improve accuracy and units finding firing solutions
    - Fix to text entry in UI that should improve esc handling in chat dialogs
    - Perf improvement late game with large engagements (still lots of work to do)
    - Floating laser advanced redesign

    Build 49286:

    - RANDOM PLANETS: You will now get one of three different planet biome combos, with sizes ranging from 450 meters to 750 meters.
    - A number of performance improvements. Late game, you'll still see simulation stutters, but should be better
    - Recon continues to improve, but you can still see some things you shouldn't
    - Sound muting is now mapped to Ctrl+s to hopefully reduce instances of accidentally turning off your sound
    - Framerate clamped to 120fps
    - Performance improvements in the render pipeline
    - Sun rendering on AMD should look better
    - Primary army color is no longer shareable between armies
    - Exploit Fix: You can no longer make changes to client factory and engineer build specs; server is the arbiter of this now
    - Fix for units occasionally being built with less than full health
    - Some camera fixes to improve transitions to and from celstial view
    - A number of pathing improvements and flow field optimizations
    - Destroyer has been scaled down to feel more appropriate for the build costs
    - Frigate re-designed to look more unique from the destroyer
    - Energy plant scaled down - shouldn't take as much space in your base now
    - Tech 2 Fabrication Ship re-design
    - Floating laser defense redesign
    - Ongoing balance changes

    It was a duplicate unit. It was exactly the same as one of the others. Our build machine was including some "units" that had been renamed or changed to other units, so they were never real units. :)

    Thanks guys !
    {deleted my previous comment since i'm not sure about the performance decrease i mentioned}
    However for sure, chronocam makes the game crash when rolling backward too much fast.

    awesome build!!!
    just had a very good game with it with actual landfighthing. :D
    But the problems of the current gui really shine through now. I constantly selected random things without noticing until all my engies went off somewhere. We really need some sort of display to see what we have selected to stop us from making horrible mistakes and the selection system itself also could use some improvements, but I am sure you know this @ Uber ;)

    a black sun is better than no sun ^^

    does somebody has numbers on the balance changes to the ships?


    Also: 105 games with 191 players right now. Cool information :)

    Leviathan:

    Turnspeed to 15 from 30
    Metal cost to 6480 from 3240

    Destroyer:
    Turnspeed to 30 from 90
    Metal cost to 630 from 360
    Damage to 36 from 18
