Petition: Live Update Playlist Waiting Times

"If" you can get into a lobby. If not, the same team splitting issues still apply. The one that I hate the most is the one where it forces you into an open game but drops some of your team to squeeze you in. Team splitting seems to be at it's absolute worse now. My team gave up tonight with constantly being split cause we didn't get into a lobby much, or got booted, or got halfway thru a game only to have one of the guys booted to where they had to dashboard (that happened 3 times in 4 hours of play for just that one).

Were you in an Xbox Live party or an in game MNC party? How does one get booted from game? Can you clarify?

Ah I just answered your post in the other thread. Maybe Xbox Live is just having a bad night, but we would literally be a couple minutes into a match and then boom Mattsumune would be gone and booted from the party and we'd find him in dashboard, then Zoller (same way) and then lastly Slayfromthesky just patched up, we invited him into a fresh lobby with just me and matt and quit a couple matches to get ourselves into the same team finally....and boom out goes Slayfromthesky the same way.

Not sure what they saw though as we were too busy in the middle of matches and just trying to get them back in. If it happens to me though I'll let you know.

Woohoo! That's pretty close to what I was hoping for. I would have prefered majority, but I'm not that picky.

This doesn't make any sense at all. How are you getting booted out of a middle of a game?

Also, my concern is the constant resetting of the clock to 45 seconds every time someone backs out. It drags the pre-game lobby out to upwards of 4-5 mins in fairly often circumstances, which is extremely annoying. The "ready" option sounds like a decent fix, but I'd seriously consider making it something like 66%-80% of the lobby rather than 100% (to prevent griefing and player ignorance.)

The 15 seconds I've proposed (which only applies after someone has left and stalled the count down) is still much longer than the 0 seconds people risk dealing with when joining a game in progress.

Also, it seems that a playlist update could be handled by uber and not require MS cert.

We don't have a concept of a playlist and would have to be added content, so yes that means cert.

I thought the first live update included intermission time changes and minimum player changes and was done without cert.

From the Aug 23rd update thread:

"Our first update using MNC Live Update System include the following changes:

-Time between Crossfire matches changed from 60 to 45 seconds
-minimum number of players needed to start Crossfire changed from 8 to 6"

I take playlist as to mean custom maps with custom features, is that what you mean?

I see where the miscommunication is. Treat "playlist" update as "pre-game lobby" update. IE: The suggestions I made that are similar in nature to the types of updates we saw Aug. 23rd or so.

Yep, I get what you're saying now. We'll look into adjusting the time when someone leaves and comes back in for the free DLC as well as change the "Ready" functionality to be a majority instead of everyone. Petition Success!
