Performance issues (don't get why)

Try to disable shadows completely and check if this helps.

Actually this looks like some weird Nvidia issue because I don't see anything especial in your DxDiag.

Right so BETA IS OUT !! GFX issues seems to be better. However I think the FPS drop is related to shadows (sun light shadows on planet).

FPS at start 120
FPS at match loading goes to 0
FPS at match start is about 30 to 45 (while zoomed in on planet/unit icon view)
FPS drops when I zoom out to about 15 to 18

But hey it's Beta ! Not complaining, hopefully things will only get better. Note not seen any improvement in windows or full screen mode though game play is now smoother even with the low fps. I wonder why that is.

Just trying to understand how people with lower specs get more than double the performance. Has to be something im missing. The whole "Its beta" thing cant matter this much.

I haven't even been able to get into a game to have performance issues. I just sit there loading, in the end I gave up after 5 mins.

Yeah i just disabled shadows and im getting 15-20 right from the start with just my commander, It wont break 20 fps. It looks like its limited at 20 and is not able to go higher.

That's a really bizarre problem Cultasare. It still makes no sense to me that my rig somehow produces better performance than yours. I hope futures patches alleviate your problem dude.

mmm games seem to take forever to load with more then 2planets now.
I hope optimization issues are sorted out shortly but all in all still quite happy with the game.

I installed the game on my SSD and the loading time is also realy long (like 3 mins or so).

same here running off SSD.
