Haha - funny you say that, I have been trying to get through a GW with no orbital tech at all, as I haven't found any - it's.... interesting...

So how exactly does alt+f4 rescue you when you actually lost the game? As in your commander got destroyed? How can you turn back time with alt+f4?

    alt+f4 before you lose
you're not supposed to be able to replay a lost game, that goes against the whole principle of roguelike galactic war (at least now, where the only piece you can move is your faction leader)

People do not like a roguelike GW from what I have seen in most comments on GW. People want to do hour long turtle fests vs the AI. I don't think that is fun either, but people want that so Uber has to deliver that.

a non-roguelike galactic war is the responsibility of modders to create

Uber made it pretty clear that galactic war (at least in single player) is going to be roguelike, that may change when multiplayer GW rolls out, but for now, it should stay roguelike. I can't imagine the changes would be too difficult to mod in, as well.

So what your saying is *your* opinion is most important, and the community along with Uber should follow *your* lead and development goals, as you know best for everyone?

Yes, because I represent the silent majority.

No you bloody don't. There is literally no such thing as a majority of anything who would prefer to hibernate their computers rather than a save feature. Which has been in games since Zork.

There is a majority of players who'd prefer the game's core features finished before the novelties.

"How to play for GW clearly says: 'Annihilation is final'"
and it does say annihilation is final
which is pretty clear to everyone except you

for god's sake can't you see, there has to be content to save before there's a save feature

UM... it's the single player majority that's clamoring for saving?

Sorry but PA was always MP focused.

You mean like an AI skirmish mode?

Never was MP focused, never will be. Galactic war was the defining feature of the game.
AI skirmish battles don't mean anything, galactic war progress does, and you can already save galactic war progress.

There first has to be content worthy of saving... like, a galactic war that isn't a placeholder.
