On topic, I play a gunner with no armor because it doesn't really matter. I do not care about other gunners with gold armor because whether I catch them off guard or they catch me first, the armor doesn't really factor into it. Even in a straight up face off, I'll still win if I got my guns revved up, or if I guess they'll deploy so I do it first.

G-crit, S-RoF, B-accuracy is all I need.

gold armor + over heal = unfair advantage

Personally I only ever run armor on Tank and Support. Tank just because it's a Tank and Support just because I like to occasionally survive being damaged while lagging from place to place. It just doesn't have appeal for me on other classes. I'd rather be a critwhore as Assault or Gunner, crackhead samurai Assassin, or SMG sniper than waste an endorsement slot on one that's not going to provide me much entertainment.

Reasons I use armor in pubs:
All it takes is one hit from a level 3 bomb to kill an assassin and sniper with no armor, assaults are heavily damaged and will die from fire without armor or a support to heal them.

A supports shotgun will take down a no-armor assassin or sniper in one shot, assaults go down in two. Gunners and tanks go down in three to four if I remember correctly.

Unless you are running gold armor on assault, support, and sniper, you will not survive a level 2 assassin backstab. Assassins running gold armor can survive a level 2 backstab if they are overhealed.

Gunners not using gold armor will die from any level 3 backstab. A gold armor gunner who is overhealed will survive with a sliver of health remaining. Gold armor passive three tanks will survive with about 25% health.

I hope I have proved my point......

I've been running no armour on my shuriken assassin since I can keep my distance. If I start to die more than the gold I earn I just switch to my regular assassin. It's because shuriken kills are hard to get unless juiced and so I needed a class specifically for it. I'm now 1/5 of the way to the final protag !

How about no?
It's hard to aim but when you get the hang of it, you get a lot.

Also, if you want to do them the easy way, grapple a fatty with the Launcher and finish them with the shurkins. Probably the easiest on Gunner since he will slam =/= stand still.
