PC Product Update 8 is questionable..

    Perhaps clearing the area around the turret but not the turret itself. Gunners have that title.

    Seconded. An army of gapshots and a couple level 3 longshots can murder any bases defenses (though less effective on steel peel)

    It's usually enough to push it from a stalemate to a win for me.

    Gapshots don't work well on steel peel, can't be spammed on uncle tully's, and are very vulnerable to early destruction on ammo mule. Also useless if the enemy has a competent assassin who catches on.

    So is everyone OK with the sniper being able to do this on top of the side exits?
    Because it ****** me off.

    Oh yeah, I hate that

    Not sure what should be done about it though.. while I hate that it can be used like that by snipers, assaults (grenades), and gunners (mortar), I love that it can be used the other way as a sneaky way into the enemy base

    In that game they enemy had 2 snipers, one on the usual left 2nd floor on their side, and the other on top of the enemy alternate escape tunnel. Needless to say, they murdered anyone that stepped out of the base, or even in our base. :evil:

    silly Hostile Paradox, the Sniper isn't broken you just need to get better.

    I never said the Sniper was broken, I said that side exit gives him an unfair sniping position. Uber never meant for sniping from there when they designed the map originally. It was added with the side exits. Same happens in Ammo Mule with the side exits.

    Why Uber did not cover the entire top of the side exits with heat vents is beyond me. :roll:

    i think Goose was being sarcastic because snipers are broken and being better doesn't help much against them

    His sarcasm didn't translate well.
    Still hoping they add a bolt on that darned rifle so at least he has a brief moment of zoom in/out.
    Doesn't even have recoil, what is he firing? A .22LR bullet? :|

    the most unbelievable part is that his bullet can explode, then keep going through to the next target, explode again, keep going and explode again on the next target, and on and on forever exploding at an unlimited number of targets with no reduction in effectiveness

    I always thought that was bs. Explode on first target? Fine.
    Every other target beyond that? WTF? :roll:

    Really? I always thought it was on just the first target.

    Now the sniper rifle sounds like a railgun with rocket launcher destructiveness. :lol:

    nope, it explodes on every target it pierces

    snipers can get 1-shot kills without even hitting the player just by shooting into bot groups

    it's also the reason a sniper can build up juice insanely fast, since one shot can deal damage many times. for example, shooting into a double bot group on spunky, you could pierce your shot through 3 targets, with each explosion hitting 5 bots, for a total of 15 hits with one shot

    IMO the explosions shouldn't even deal damage to players, just bots. leave it as a bot farming tool, but remove the accidental and spam damage/kills against players
