Recommend me a 2TB seagate that is $100-$150 AUD. I want to finally upgrade my flupping GPU instead just talking about doing it and then not doing it.

I feel like some highschool wannabe "cool kid" who's all talk and no show :(.

I have no idea why everybody on Newegg hates it, but everybody loves the same model on amazon. All 6 of my Seagates run fine, and the 200ish at my school run just fine too. Also, I'm crying for you at the prices.

An SSHD might serve you better, being somewhat faster over-all, but they seem to skip 2 and 3 TB.

Seagate is the fukin bomb. Also don't comprehend why the internet started a hate-trend against it.

Not sure either. WD used to be the king, but their quality dropped and they had some bad drive failures a few (many few now) years ago, which really helped Seagate expand into the commercial market so well. WD seems to stick mostly to OEM and enterprise-grade components (not what you'd use for a public school. Twice the price for nearly the same thing. What is wrong with HDD manufacturers?)

I've had quite a few problems with WD drives in the past. I've used many others without much issue. I usually go for Samsung or Segate drives depending on what is available. Hatachi have also proven pretty reliable when I've used them.
