Even if it's connected though PCIe it's still SSD. Anyway it's way too expensive for gaming PC and I doubt person with such tasks notice real difference.

Just played my first game on the new rig and everything went fine. My biggest problem building the machine was getting the case fans to work, but after i figured out what cable to go where everything has worked splendidly out of the box. Just plug in, install, update, upgrade and reboot. So easy my mom could have done it.

No problems with linux, nvidia drivers or PA. Currently running 12.04 ubuntu but will start playing around with different OS later, gonna try to learn how running several OSs works with ssd first... We decided to wait with the ssd 'til after the holidays, we're a bit busy and just wanted to make sure everything is working first.

Tanks again for all help and input folks! And thanks uber for a fantastic game! :)

Glad to hear it! I'd suggest trying out Linux Mint with KDE desktop. It's my favorite Linux version by far and KDE has a lot of nice features.
