You've got to be kidding me. The budget for this game is in the region of $2m - $3m last time I checked. The budget for Supreme Commander was in the tens of millions.

    Artwork is very expensive.

The budget for this game was never $2m - $3m.

That's the money that was raised by the backers but it was never the budget.
    (sorry for being pedantic)

And you sir are absolutely correct that the art is expensive.
    :)

I'd also like to point out that if Uber wasn't concerned about costs I would never have given them my money.

    No, I'm not kidding.

And the figure you quoted is not the budget for PA, as others have stated.

Uber has a black market business of selling organs. Most of Uber's employees have mechanical bodies, that is why they can pump out new builds so often and afford to make the game.

I do believe the actual budget of the game is a few millions more but considering the size of the game, I'm guessing anything less than 10 million and 2 years of development will not be enough to make something extremely epic.

It already is epic but extreme epicness, for that we must wait!

The "budget" for this game extends past its release. Uber will spend money (and by extension employee time and resources) on it until they decide to stop.

If you put your post after the text you quote it makes a lot more sense.

It also helps if people use spell check when they write their posts as well. But we know how that goes....

What unholy god of idiot necromancy raised this thread?

I'm sure that uber can manage to balance ten or so commanders. Now, we all know that there has never been a game with different factions, or where you are able to choose between different avatars, but it's important to have faith, despite this.

That, btw, is how you use sarcasm, not by saying something that makes you sound stupid, and then claim 'sarcasmz' when you realize what you said.

Or one can be earnest and drop the sarcasm altogether.

Just a thought. Wait, we're talking about gamers communicating with each other on a public forum.

    Never mind. Carry on.

Considering you were persistently trying to use it and failing utterly earlier, isn't that a case of the pot calling the kettle black?

You seem to operate using a very blatant double standard omega4

This thread has long since outlived it's usefulness. Everything that could be said about it has been. The game is not pay to win. If we can't balance our commanders to provide a level playing field, we have much bigger problems.

Doing something I try and avoid and locking a thread, because if I see this one come up again, my head may explode. That and space flight. Come on, people. :)
