I keep reading it as Martenus Mayhem.

Martius means March....

I just wanna point out, that the similarity with my name is purely accidental

Because my real name is Martin, which is from Roman Martinus, which comes from Martis = A God called Mars. I used a nickname Marten when I was younger, but I like the Greek mythology so I changed that to Martenus.

Martius as here is a latin word for Mars, also the same God. And because most festivals were held in the month of March (it wasn't called like that of course), they named the month after him - Martius. The month Martius was also the first month of early Roman calendar, because it was a month, where the farming season started. The modern word "March" was derived from this word too.

That is why we called the tournament Martius, to celebrate the first day of March!
And Mayhem ... because it will be crazy! Latest builds brought many new units and completely changed the gamestyle, so we gonna hopefully see some crazy strategies

Incorrect. The tournament is clearly rigged to let you win. I'm calling shenanigans on this whole thing right now.

What's the purpose of capture clan and country?

Statistical data collection mostly.

And in invitational tournaments players will represent their country.

In League tournaments it is optinoal field you can fill in, but you don't have to.

Also about the clan - some people are in clans but do not use tags in their names, that is why we ask for it.
