So now anti-air units are more effective, are there any plans to reduce ant's AA power? reducing projectile speed, reducing turret turning rate, faster bombers, higher bombers?

    It begins.

This could mean so much more than just a name swap. I await more development with this core principle in mind.

Good job devs! This patch is a huge improvement in performance (FPS boost) and usability (mouse cursor no longer flickers) on Linux.

FPS used to be around 30 if I was lucky, now it is at least double that. KDE users, until we get full screen ability, you can boost FPS even further by disabling KDEs compositing. At any time, in game or out, using Alt-Shift-F12 (in Kubuntu at least) will toggle compositing on and off. I only realised shortly before the latest patch but that also fixed the mouse cursor problem. At least it is properly fixed now in this latest patch anyway.

May I ask you a question? Do you think the Linux version works better than the windows version? Any benefits? Thanks!

I've not tried the Windows version as I don't have a Windows system. I'm sure that the Win version has had more attention from the Devs. However, this latest patch has really made a big difference, so I think the Linux version may well be on a par with the Windows version in terms of graphical performance. It's certainly smooth and a lot more playable. The flickering cursor was a deal-breaker almost.

I have to check again, but on my conf, i have not noticed any improvement in game (now, was allready playing with 660TI), iwould rather say that i have noticed a slight decrease, but i have to experiment again.
On the other hand there's lot of improvement when playing with the planet system. Now 3 planets moving together is quite smooth. I'm confident Uber will make this game awesome.

I still have this on my iMac.:(:(
I refuse to play until this is fixed; or until i get my new MBP.

Other than that, the system editor looks awesome and naval is certainly more useful, judging by the stuff I've seen and heard.

That doesn't tell us anything actually.

Does the gun have an accuracy stat now? (Nothing in the file) If no, is the same accuracy used for everything? Are the using a normal distribution? What happens to shots outside the standard deviation? Are they forced to comply within a 2sigma max? Etc. etc.

(I know what standard deviations are. World of Tanks for example uses them for their aiming circle and aiming mechanics. But without additional information it doesn't tell us anything. :) )

I so dearly hope it's a Normal distribution for those one-in-a-million chance situations where artillery fires off towards the 10th deviation.

    yes, and no.

By which i mean lobbers are t1, and catapults are t2, so without riding the new name pony all over anything i say for now on, what pray tell would you call nukes, orbitals, or other things built by the advanced fabber, if commander is basic and fabber is advanced.

Because they already exist, other things built at same level could be added like units or other weapons, so if for example a giant bot was buildable, you can call it whatever you like but it is part of that build tree and argument to remove it is valid for nukes and orbital, or at least restructuring the tree.

Loving Aircraft Factory building able to build on water also with AA Turrets. Also that Metal Extractor/Energy Plants can be build anywhere on land or sea without have to click a different icon. But can we get this done to the Energy/Metal Storage and walls aswell? It was the only items seem to be left out?

You know there is a 0.0000000000000000000015% probability of that happening with a normal distribution, right? ;)

Nuke Launchers could be 'Basic' units, and the first Orbital Launcher most definitely should be.
    Simple.

Just because something is 'Basic' doesn't mean it must be cheap or quick to build.
Just because something is 'Advanced' doesn't mean it must be expensive and take forever to build.

Basic and Advanced is a differentiation of specialisation and focus, rather than an 'upgrade' over lesser units.

... at least... that is what this could mean. If it doesn't I can assure you that I will be very vocal about the matter.
