What do you mean? I don't see any Coherent stability problems on Linux.
Coherent it's Chromium, so It's stable as Chromium. :?

Planet generation (in the editor) is much faster now, RAM usage seems also greatly reduces. Previously my 8GB exploded after 2 planets.
New metal and lava planets look great. Can't wait to play on them.

I have found that since the patch, my mouse 5 and mouse 6 buttons are now bound to the exact same as mouse 1. As in i can completely control the game using these buttons as if they were left click. this is slightly annoying since I was using Push to Talk on TS3, on my mouse 5 button, and whenever I click it to talk to TS it selects something on screen. I can't see any way of fixing this, so was wondering if anyone else had this problem.

Believe me, you aren't the only one who reads this and feels a twinge of concern. Obviously it's too early to tell yet, but I would be very sad if orbital combat was treated as another air layer, just a bit higher up.

    Great Update !

.. I love the "Flocking" .. btw the shellers are broken for me now they move in range and then do .. nothing :p

my first testnuke (which didn`t make any noise -- scary!!) took out the whole AI base leaving the AICom with nothing left but his panties and about 10 percent HP ...

seems to me it`s more powerfull than the Comexplosion

keep it up .. lots of fun !!!

    THX !

We will definitely be looking into the performance differences.

There are some issues with the artillery I think. I thought it was acting weird but couldn't pin it down yesterday. Luckily we have Nick starting on Monday and he can start looking into that.

The nukes are way fun but they are fairly expensive right now. I would rather start with them expensive instead of making them too cheap and making every game a nuke fest.

they are expensive, yes but they are AWESOME!

just wantet to point that out^^

maybe it would be better if the anti-nuke building starts to build its missles without someone having to extra order it to do so. for resource controlling you could add a pause-button or something like that, but thats a point for beta i think ;)

I am finding very difficult to select anything in this build. I will click on a unit, and get click sound, but will not select. I have to try 5-10 times on my factories to select.

I am seeing no change in unit movement also. Click a group and they will all select there own path to the location. They will split up to go on different side of cracks and bots will move ahead of tanks.

yeah, selecting a factory has been very difficult for many patches now (ever since the patch that made them more difficult to select because they used to be far too easy to select)

Love the changes, first game however started with a comander battle as the AI had no metal next to them.

Yep, selecting the right 'part' of a factory is ambiguous atm:

    - If you're too far zoomed out, you can't select them at all

    - You have to hunt around the factory to try to get the round 'assist factory' symbol rather than assisting just the current thing being built inside the factory. I don't see why we'd ever want tell a fabber just to assist one ship, say. This issue is worst with naval factories.

    - Trying to set fabbers to assist a construction plane is difficult if it's currently building a factory - you've got to wait for the plane to rotate so none of the factory is behind it, so you get the round 'assist' mouse cursor - otherwise the order is taken to be for just that one factory. This is worst with advanced air facs, because there is only a tiny spot where the plane isn't backed by the factory. This might be a z-order issue.

    - If I want to select multiple factories to set their waypoint, I seem to need to do it one at a time at the moment. If that waypoint isn't very close, this means zoom-in, select fac, zoom out, right click, and repeat this n times.

I also find the flocking makes the tanks ignore your commands quite a bit. I wanted my tanks to go through one gap in some mountains, but a third of them *really* wanted to go through the other gap which was full of defense. Didn't matter if I manually set them waypoints to go through my preferred gap - they were off and not changing their minds because the gap I was pointing too was already full of tanks :)

Looking thru the orbital list: arkyd = orbital defence??!
Also, mining platforms (the description is interesting) and solar arrays!

Seems like Uber uncovered Planetary Resources plan! They ask for money on Kickstarter to send laser canon on orbit! :D

LOL I was adding names to the units, and it was late at night. It was the first name that popped into my head. :)

I had no problem assisting nuke factory. I found that having a good number of fabers can GREATLY increase the speed at which they are produced.

    orbital mining tractor beam elevator?

Also, the solar array: I wonder the mechanics on this. I imagine that it would orbit in such a way as to always face the sun....

Both have limited range. On a scale 4 planet you wont be able to reach every point with one silo.

As far as I can tell, building anti-nukes takes forever. Can I speed that up with fabricators? Also, are anti nukes free?
Just had a match where I was nuked (the second time in that match, so half the base was already gone) right before my anti missile got ready. It looks ready, but didnt fire anymore.
