First I thought only 600 energy income is weird. 700 was hard already. Then I saw the 100k storage from a single energy storage. That makes it sooo much easier to deal with energy
i was able to build the largest possible planet on 4 gigs of ram on a seven year old computer ( which was mid-grade at best back then) it just took sometime. i noticed that the metal planet had more of a star craft map feel too it but that is probably because large inclined plains replaced water. i see how you where trying to make a world based on defending taking advantage of the various high points to create powerful defenses. although i was surprised to see that there still was mass points. i guessed what would be so special about the metal planets is that you could mine matter from anywhere. i guess if that wherre true it would require some more coding and that this might be a feature to be implemented later.
No, range is still 100. They do have a new "spread_fire": true flag though. Not yet sure what it does.
Spread_fire tells units to more carefully look at incoming enemies, determine how much damage is overkill, and spread out their damage more carefully among those incoming targets to minimize overkill. In other words, that's the line in the notes about Catapults and Anti Air more carefully determining their targets.
Where the hell has that been in EVERY rts I've ever played... Thought it is still fun when overkill is used on the one random scout.
Great job with the update!!!! I really enjoy it I hate how I get nukes by AI though http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=160588694 then I nuked him back >
sooo...this i some kind of thing that stops them all from shooting at the same guy? or is that wrong?
Nice update. Playing around with the planet editor, I finally have a use for the 32gb of ram I have installed.
