Sigh... All my close games still result in Simulation Termination. What's the main cause of this bug Garat, can you shed any light on what's giving the servers so much grief?

    (other than me, obviously ;))

Is it projectile count like I suspect it is? Always seems to drop just when a fight erupts...

This was me, I went afk for a little while then found i hadn't been disconnected. Then I just left it running to see if I would get disconnected, test how out of sync the client would get with FS#1,and how much memory it would gobble up.
At 1000 minutes it was only 4.3gb and 10seconds out of sync.

New effects make my game slower, but im positive that UBER will optimilize that.

Game is actually more and more fun! I just had game in that two players were pretty good, third was afk... Both battles, one with first and second were different, one was turtle, second was fighter. It was fuuun.

Touch screens on phones can be fickle about what button they think you're 'clicking'

I can disable the edge scrolling, how do I disable the window mouse constrains? Put bluntly the are a useless pain in the *** when you have 3 screens with PA in the middle and don't use edge scrolling anyway.

    Hey garat.

Could you please make one post thats sticy and locked only to admins called "Alpha Patch notes"

And everything you got a build update you add a new post or link to the forum post so we have everything one place so we dont have to go though them. As some are called PA official build xxxxx and this one just PA Alpha build. so we have the history of the upgrades.

    Thanks

I think this is what you are looked for: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=47666
It seems garat forgot to add the latest update, though.

I suppose we can add in a sep option for that or just have it be controlled by the edge scroll option.

Thoughts? My only worry is if you turn off contrains but turn on edge scroll it could be confusing.

Also, does anyone use edge scroll? The idea is foreign to me personally but I was told we need it.

I remember a mod I had to run the original starcraft in windowed mode (my TV hated its resolution setting), and it was set up so that holding down ctrl+shift removed constraints temporarily. Clicking back in the window restored them.

Personally I think some kind of key press to toggle removing constraints, but clicking restores them always, if the option is on in settings.

EDIT: oh, and when zooming out was constrained to the planet, and didn't send you out to galactic view, you could zoom all the way out, and then place the cursor away from the planet, and zoom turned into scrolling around the planet.

    That was cool :geek:

I would not mind either way as long as I can disable it for myself.
A sep option would make it possible for people to:
1.) Have the cursor locked without edge scrolling. Maybe this is useful to some people? I am not sure, but it could be.
2.) Have the cursor unlocked with edge scrolling. This appears very useless to me.

So depending on if 1 is important for somebody either just merge the options together or make a sep option, but disable the option to unlock the cursor when edge scrolling is enabled so case 2 is prevented.

    ... is what I think.

Its a relic from the past where RTS games happend on 2D maps  And like all old habbits, they die hard... Making it optional is the way to go (like everything :) )

    So a triple option with:
    - edge scroll on (implies edge lock)
    - edge scroll off (no edge lock)
    - edge scroll off (with edge lock)

So that it can't be screwed up?

If you are going to add edge scrolling I suggest adding edge scrolling speed slider for the future, also option to toggle it off.

    Edit: ^That works :D
