I never ever use templates or control groups so I don't really care.

I would like to see being able to queue up commands for units under construction. Would allow you to plan out actions even further ahead.

I'd really like to see an offline editor.

What would also be great would be to be able to run a "sample" game to test the template. For example, you have a base template that you want to use for the beginning of a game, which builds things in certain orders, such as mass extractors and energy things, so that you know what you need to build so you don't stall.
I don't know if i'm explaining this properly...

I'm trying to say that you run the template in a "fake" game, which has an incredibly sped up timer. It places the template and starts building. Then you can see where you stall and implement mass/energy buildings before then so that you don't stall, and that way make a template to begin a game without stalling with minimal clicks, rather than having to place it all by hand.
