IGN is just simplifying things for people reading their content. Really, Assaults should love to use their skills while most Gunners prefer to upgrade to Passive 3 and call it a day.

I see loads of gunners getting deploy 3 and using it in totally inappropriate times. Sometimes it's a sad day and I see gunners with a head shield and no dual mini.

False. I really doubt there's any person who's played gunner more than twice who stops at Passive 3. Most upgrade deploy, I HOPE most of them upgrade slam, and some upgrade grapple.

And I'm sure it's just a way IGN explained it since they couldn't explain it any other way, or didn't want to refer to other games to explain him.

I upgrade everything to 3. Even if I'm never close enough to grapple anyone, I want the CHANCE of a ring-out. Plus, bouncers are annoying on Spunky Cola so its nice to have for them.

Sorry. My only reference are the gunners who slam obviously. I'll say right now I've never played against anyone from the forums except for HostileParadox so I mostly pub stomp around.

Still, I love me some bad gunners.
