Obligatory "Is game worth it yet?" thread

This game is evolving at a fantastic rate. If the thread hasn't convinced you already, goddamnit it is worth it.

I just need to set aside some playing time, barely been able to keep up with beta announcements and my alpha playing skills get pounded by the AI bots

Massive performance improvements recently, we've gone from 10 FPS in the alpha to a stable 50 - 60 FPS in the beta (on my rig at least). Unit art is coming together as well, and in the internal build we have fancy new building lighting!
