Nukes vs kinematic bombardment

    It depends on how advanced they make it (the astroid bombarment), i suggest the following:

    It depends on where it is, it might miss, it might still be on course just with less acceleration/speed (And less speed means less damage when it hits the planet, the following information "size and speed makes a difference for how much damage a astroid does to a planet" has been confirmed in the pc gamer interview).

    More speed equals more damage, and most likely less time to intercept depending on the calculated course.

    when you say KEWS are you referring to the engines?
    or
    KEWS

    Kinetic
    Energy
    Weapon
    Systems

    Just to clarify, the asteroid itself is a KEW. You can't build KEWs on the astroid.
    So this:
    Doesn't make sense.

    Oh, hah.

    I was wondering about that, because I'd seen everyone referring to KEWS as something apparently separate.

    However, it does make sense for the engines to be called Kinetic Energy Weapon Systems, since they turn the floating asteroid into a Kinetic Energy Weapon.

    That was the logic I was using, basically. XD
