Espicially when you're playing Sumo 75% of the time in pubs.

You SERIOUSLY just took the time to reply to that? COULD YOU NOT SMELL THE SARCASM?

On topic: K/D doesn't matter. I will get that money ball down and make that sonofabitch stay down. That is all that matters.

IMO tracking kills vs deaths is relevant because if I want to know why i'm dying by juiced pros every time I leave the base, I can look at the scoreboard and see my team holding it down with .1 - .5 k/d. All they're doing is assisting the other team in upgrading their skills faster and help them to begin juice chaining. If they can get 10 slim bot kills and 20 black jack kills, that's cute and all, but i'm not worried about that. I can control both bot lanes/push one lane on any map with assassin and tank, G3 being the hardest, but definitely possible. Ammo mule and spunky I can do both lanes with sniper. Assault and gunner I can assist bot lanes as i'm slaying. I prefer teammates that can help slay instead of being easy kills for the other team while only being able to knock down one wave of bots. Low levels that are focused on killing bots are going to put themselves in harms way a lot more than low levels that are focused on kills.

If killing bots is all you can do, COOL. Just don't die 30 times in the process because I guarantee you, your bot slaying days will be numbered during mid to late game when the other team has map control, are fully upgraded, and ready to juice.

I will say spawn camping snipers that solely go for K/D are completely useless to the team even if they don't die that much. When they do manage to build juice, they are the easiest juiced pros to counter and the worst at killing turrets while juiced. Ice traps are too good of a skill to be thrown around your spawn when you can be helping with map control or spawn trapping.

For the record, bad teammates don't bother me. All of this is purely for argument's sake.

I was only being slightly sarcastic. I mean what I say.

People will be people. The simple fact is that killing other players in a game with guns is fun. I'll admit that heartily, and I'm someone who is 100% behind the idea that people need to focus on the objective of the game. But, as others have said, killing pros can be part of the picture, just not the whole picture.

As for solutions, I don't think removing stats would really change people's behavior, and you'd be taking enjoyment away from those people who do get a kick out of knowing their kill/death ratio (I'm not one of those people; I don't think I've ever looked at that number after a game, although I always look at the protags I earned... you know, because pictures are pretty and numbers are scary ;) ). I think the answer is MORE information, not less. Damaging the moneyball and killing turrets are both very valuable activities, so lets see those stats as well. The moneyball damage would be especially helpful to have front and center, since it would remind people why the winning team one - they took out the ball.

But to reiterate, as much as I don't really share the mindset of people who are keen to compare kill stats and the like, I don't see any benefit from removing them.

K/D should not be tracked, maybe remove deaths shown in game to remove that whole, I carried my team but had less money excuse. Although I'll admit slaying everyone so your team can get map control is a pretty good excuse.

But yeah, removing k/d from your locker room and removing the deaths from the in game stats would make people a lot less selfish and more focused on the objective. Which is the point of MNC. Removing the kills would help too, but I wouldn't ask for too much. If they did that the game would be amazing and people(including myself) wouldn't go for kills when the money ball is downed and we are pretty much guaranteed to win, I'd just shoot the money ball and get it over with.

Killing is a very important thing in this game though. You can't build your turrets if there is a Gunner shooting mortars at you. You can't clear bots with a Tank in the middle of the lane. You can't get to their side of the map without getting past that bomb the Assault has on the ground, ect.

My point being that killing Pros in this game is just as important as killing bots, if not more so. They can't guard their bots or destroy your bots when they are dead.
