New Teams from Scratch

So, what happened here?

It fizzled out into the abyss, as usual.

Rosters as far as I know are-
Team 1-
Chron, Kckzi, Knives, Chollo, Gunked, Yan
Team 2-
Wildman, Teapot, Goldielocks, Frank, Yoshi, Hawkshade.
Team 3-
Myself, Jeff, Zatchmo, Grindout, Crimsonskull, ???
Team 4-
Skill+Randoms

No one ever practices or plays, nothing has changed.

Goldie is on Team Smaug I think. No idea if she left or not.

I didn't realize that was for the same thing. I thought Team Smaug vs BOT punchules was a new version of the MNC civil war. My loyalties still lie with my original team.

I doubt this is going to happen anyway, just like every other tournament.

Too bad! Teapot, Yoshi, Hawkshade and I were on the same team for a few games last night and I thought we worked well together.

I'm absolutely up for playing some matches. I figured we'd wait for some more confirmed teams but thats taking a bit too long. I guess skill is putting together his own team but we did have him in mind to be our sub.

Our roster should be:

and last night either hawkshade or yoshi asked me about what was happening and my response was basically that I guess as of right now the only team we could play is chron's. But I want to go more in depth on goldies' last comment about hawkshade yoshi her and I playing together last night.

Last night we had the potential to have one of the better lobbies we've had in a long time, unfortunately people went about their ways and we couldn't get it back up. Before that happened we still had a pretty nice lobby. I picked a beast team consisting of -

Mr Try Hard - Gunner
Teapot - Assault
Kckzi - Sniper
Hawkshade - Tank
Yoshi - Support
Goldie - Assassin

Let me tell you something... It was the most fun I've had in a PM in such a long time. Why? Because I drafted a team of players who are not only skilled at their classes, but communicate, call out, and try to win the game. I don't think anyone on our team caps, but the chemistry and teamwork was somewhat nostalgic. In this era of PM's I find myself getting frustrated because the lobbies feel like pub lobbies to me. I usually find it to be a clusterfuck and notice players are generally not in the right place at the right time.. something which I guess comes from experience. Don't get me wrong, I get caught off guard sometimes and will die to these players who are "out of position", but this game isn't Team Deathmatch. Theres a reason why every game seems to go to overtime, and sometimes it can be an individual who is weighing a team down, but the majority of the times it's because there is no real teamwork or organization.

On teams/scrims I've always played assault. I know my role, I understand the match ups, and I feel I have pretty good awareness, response and vision of the field overall. I know I'm not the best, but I can at least put up a fight with the best. I'm sure Chron can agree with my next statement. Regardless of me knowing what to do and look for in game, I'll always be 10x better with a team who communicates. I had yoshi and kckzi calling out when they're targeted by the enemy assault and I was easily able to turn that into a 2v1. I had hawkshade/goldie calling out sniper's location and was able to take him out or at least pressure him. Overall everyone was calling out and we were able to establish and hold map control, and attempt multiple pushes. I'm pretty sure we pushed right lane on ammo mule with 3-4 separate waves of bots while holding control of their ring/landing the entire time. First 3 waves they stopped but due to the effort of communication, we were able to keep pressure on that side without having to fall back like everyone else seems to do in PM's lately, and we dropped the ball.

Granted, teams weren't too fair. I think the other team consisted of Jeremy James LeadLP Zatchmo? Jake and a brand new support. I ended up playing another series and was picked on a stacked team, however when we re-made the lobby I got switched and stuck with the sub-par team so I experienced a bit of both sides last night.

despite me finishing the night off annoyed with being stuck on gunner for the final series, I had a blast. Completely sparked my interest in good PM's again. That said I would really like to organize something and play your team chron. I don't know what the rest of the team captains are doing with finishing up rosters, but I sure as hell want to play another skilled lobby. I know wildman's somewhat flexible (except with speaking past a certain time) but I'm hoping we can get something sorted out. I'll gather some times/days where my entire team is available and I'll get back to you.


TL;DR - good games last night re-kindled my interest in skilled lobbies/scrims. I want to scrim soon.

I don't think those teams are mismatched at all, even more so considering hawkshade just came back. Sounds like you guys had a good lobby. Those darn James and Jeremy kids I tells ya. Their like your teams 3point shooter, they can have those games where they go big, then they occasionally lay an egg, but James especially is too funny so it doesn't matter lol Jeremy is a weiner

Jeremy was high, me and Zatch were smashed, and James couldn't get a heal from our 0-20 some odd support but it was worth it to be in that party chat.

This failed like every private match with choiio in it...
