Play private matches and set Juice to off. Your problem solved. You will still level up and still earn Protags!

A juiced assassin is the easiest juiced character to deal with. I'm not saying it's a piece of cake against a good assassin, but I'd much rather come across a juiced assassin than, say, a juiced gunner or tank.

Why are they easier to deal with?

They are predictable, and, unlike the other characters, to be most effective, they have to get up close and personal.

-You see a juiced assassin. Where's he gonna go? Let's see, maybe, just maybe for the nearest turrets. Set up airstrikes, bombs, ice traps, sneak attack charges and grapples accordingly.

-No turrets left? Then, he is definitely going after pros. How is he gonna attack? Chances are, he is gonna use his katana. That means he'll be getting up in your grill. That's a perfect opportunity to grapple him or set him up with a bomb or whatever.

I think Support is the most ill equipped class for handling juiced assassins. Support's grapple is the weakest in the game, and being slow makes it harder to deal with a super speedy juiced assassin. And of course you will die just trying to grapple the Assassin about half the time, mostly because they have their back to you when slicing turrets.

That being said, your best hope is shave-ice turrets, and leaving your firebase at your base hacked. You can't hope to always kill them, but you can slow them down.

Um. The main problem I struggle with is that I have no friends to "team work" with, and thus counter friend loaded team's juice-centered strategies. So where do I find 11 people to with MNC to invite to private matches?

If I could solve one it would also solve the other.

I actually prefer PUG in my online gaming. I don't mind doing poorly. MNC was fun in it's first 2 months of release before there was so much juice spamming. I want to go back to that.

I tend to play pretty defensively. I often play support. No matter what char I play, I like spending at least half my money on turrets.

The first time I see a Juiced Assassin blender through my base (especially as a support), I stop building turrets, stop defending, and just attack. No sense in wasting more money on turrets, and I refuse to spend the whole match being 100% on blender allert - which is then required if I want to play defensively like I prefer.

The assassin seems like a more potent juicer than before, which is odd because they were already fantastic juicers to begin with.

Also, counter a juiced assassin is difficult if they know what they're doing. Traps are a good way to waste their time, but only if you see them coming down the lane with that familiar glow on their model, and toss down a trap next to the nearest turret. Once they're already juiced, you can throw down a trap before they reach the turret, and that turret will go down, and the assassin will leave the trap's active range AND kill you before it would've activated. At best, you can drop a trap on the opposite turret in preparation for the predictable path juiced assassins tend to take when they juice in a base. This is a much better idea in general, and gives you enough time to level up grapple to really waste their juice, despite usually begin killed before you can land the grapple against a juiced and wildly-slashing assassin.

The Sniper got a juice nerf which is...pretty acceptable, actually. It might be wise to consider something along those lines for the Assassin in the future. That aside, we'll continue dealing with them as we always have: keep turrets hacked and move out of the way if you see one rushing you uncloaked while pulsating, else play chicken with the grapple button.

I agree with the first part of your post, but this last part sums up exactly how my friends and I felt. We loooooved MNC before the juice epidemic. Just like baseball during the pre steroids era.

Lots of good players are not going to see it our way, and I can understand why they think our complaints are foolish. They've mastered the art of juice offense/defense. Just liked MNC better when juice wasn't the focal point of gameplay. The juiced assassins are just as dangerous as any other class imo. A juiced player followed or in tandem with another juiced player spawn killing our team, is not only frustrating, but makes me want to just forget about MNC and move on to something else.

Yeah I really don't mind seeing a juiced player. I mind killing him and seeing him back again with juice before I can rebuild the turret he just destroyed.

Support are not the most ill-equipt against Assassins, one thing that you have going for you is your Firebase does the most damage to a Juiced Assassin than anything else, that paired with a grapple will do significant damage.

Juice is the problem, not the Assassin.

I haven't had a chance to play with the update yet, (can't download on a 48 hour wtf) but if juice rate is the same,
then it's pretty much in line with what she is, a front line melee character with the lowest health in the game.

Isn't one of the main objectives of the game to escort your bots?
Deny the opportunity to gain juice and half the battle is done.

If they haven't learned how to counter juice by now, they never will.

You're making it sound like half your team will be in your base all the time and that the Assassin will only juice 2 or 3 times in a match. Assassins can get juice easy as pie, even against good players. On top of being able to get juice EXTREMELY fast, her sword damage got BUFFED, making her deal EVEN MORE damage to turrets (which is a lot since she already annihilated them before the patch). People are going to be playing the game, not sitting in their base being ready for Assassins, and not every team is going to have Tanks/Snipers on their bots.

I think it's funny that we had 3 classes which could naturally chain juice (4 if you count tank) WHiLE INVINCIBLE before the Dlc and people reacted in one of two ways:

    1. Stop playing and rely on the devs to fix juice

    Or

    2. Continue to play against extremely hard to kill juicers so we can laugh at how easy it is to stop them when juice rates are nerfed across the board post Dlc and the infinite health glitch is removed.

Big surprise, those who chose option 1 are sad.

Now look at the conversations we are having. Laugh.

I don't know where these assassins keep getting juice from if turrets are up and bots are getting escorted properly.

As a rule, people tend to forget about Assassins slinking around and building juice off of bots when they're all playing TDM with each other on some far corner of the map. The best way to stop juicing Assassins is to be proactive and scare them away from anything they might be able to gain juice from. If an Assassin sees a group of bots, she'll gain some juice, if she sees a group of bots with a Tank in front, she'll gain no juice (if she's smart). This is why we should stop using the phrase "push bots." Don't push bots, lead them instead. DRAG them into the enemy base, just don't sit behind them.

    Exactly.

Push, lead, drag whatever you want to call it, DO IT!
Don't play tdm and expect to win a crossfire game.

Waaa he got juice off the bots I don't care about. huh.

How do you keep turrets up when juiced assassins 1-shot them? Unless you are insinuating that you have to basically spend the whole match defending turrets?

There was no complaining about Juiced Assassins before the DLC, why now? They are the EASIEST Pro to kill while they are Juiced.. why aren't you guys complaining about Tanks??? Huh? I mean they are the hardest to kill when they are Juiced?

The reason for everyone's hate is they don't know how to deal with the Assassin before they get Juice, thats why they get Juice and F*** up your base.

If your going to complain about Juice, complain about Juice, not the Assassin... actually KNOW what your trying to argue about first. Stop degrading the Assassin.
