If anyone has access to SBS On Demand (so basically just @raevn and @violetania ), there's a whole bunch of movies available for free. Most of it is that really weird foreign stuff SBS always shows that always has sex and/or nudity in the thumbnail but there's some really great/interesting stuff there.

Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail is there and is a must-see.

I have this stuff lined up to watch:

The Sinking of Japan - Some drama that takes place after a giant earthquake turns Japan into Venice.
Infernal Affairs - Based on a memory of what I've read about it, it's Sleeping Dogs the movie.

There's also this horror movie called Troll Hunter about... I'll just let them explain:

Not something I'd watch, don't really like horror movies but sounds like a fun premise. I guess.

Not going to lie, SBS is not really my thing... esp the nudity, western culture seems to have a thing with violence and european stuff seems to have a thing with... bare bodies.... >.> But apart from SBS news i don't touch it, dont know how you think it's great... it's practically porn on free tv >.< oh well ^^

If you read my post you'd know that I was pointing out the movies that aren't the weird foreign erotic films ;).

Well I just watched the first fight in the latest Movie Fights:

And WOW were those Boba Fett pitches bad. Two of them were a complete waste of Boba Fett, and the other was the machinations of a lucid fanboy.

    So here's my rough idea:

After escaping from the Sarlaac, Boba Fett heads to some seedy planet to restock and repair. While he's there, a crime lord hires him to take out a rival crime lord on Coruscant. As Boba is leaving, he's assaulted by other mercenaries that don't appreciate him muscling in on their business. And this scene is where we see a freshly kitted out Boba Fett kick ***. Then he gets to his ship and fights off more attackers in a not-too-lengthy space battle.

The rest of the movie takes a leaf out of the cancelled game Star Wars 1313. Boba travels to the lower levels of Coruscant, the literal underworld of Coruscant. We watch Boba hunt down his target, interrogate people in not-so-ethical ways and finally, a big shootout which includes Boba destroying a gunship or armoured turret with his rocket pack.

Directed by Chris Nolan because he did Batman really well. And Boba has many similarities with Batman: A well trained man with access to a load of fancy gadgets that enable him to do what he does.

    What do you guys think?

    Oh dear... That's just... Oh....

Anyway now that someone else has posted I can say this without spamming:

Get your wallet, get some mates, and go watch Mad Max Fury Road.

It's a fantastic action movie. Completely relentless, mind-blowingly spectacular, and the dialogue isn't cheesy nonsense.

Still not convinced? Well let me tell you something else.

You remember how in the good ol' days before guns and cruise missiles, people had to charge at each other with pointy things and/or heavy things? And remember how there was that one guy with the "war drum"? Well Mad Max takes it to another level:

That is the Doof Warrior. He rides on the Doof Wagon. He plays a double-necked flamethrowing guitar on a moving truck while four drummers on the back pump out a beat.

The best part? That's a real person, on a real truck, playing a real flamethrower guitar. No CGI nonsense here all that stuff actually works and exists.

I won't. I haven't. You see that guy in the trailer and I don't think he's ever actually named in the film. So you haven't learnt anything you don't want to know.

You wanted 20 minutes of dialogue in an action movie?

And there is a story. Were you not paying attention? Because it's there. It's hardly complicated but it's there.

because interstallar was **** on every level except Soundtrack and visuals.

Soundtrack and visuals doesn't make a movie. it may have had the best ones ever, that made me rewatch it just for that but that still doesn't make a movie.

MAd MAx on the other hand is a fuckin ride. it transports you out of your seat, shakes you up, and throws you into this world with more immersion than what you could muster to imagine.

the visuals are amazing, the soundtrack is meh, the acting is top notch.

to many goods for very few bads.

    it's a trip.

The whole movie is literally a road trip.

It's like what a pessimistic Clark Griswold would imagine his family vacation to be.

DAmn it was pretty good but most of the jokes just fell flat for me.
Not a true successor to Kung Pow in the end :(

Still.... the perfect flick to watch while high, I'd wager.

    Looks pretty interesting!

    But 3/10 no volleyball companion.

Wait, Sean Bean is in it...

5/10 we'll probably see Sean Bean recreating that scene from Total Recall by breaking his helmet and having his head explode.
