See this is something I rather agree with. Although I still had a lot of fun, and was genuinely surprised while watching Cabin in the Woods, not to mention the CGI is top notch, so I do like to give CITW credit. I agree with the rest of what you said, though I still havn't seen the original Total Recal. did you check out The Fountain, Solaris, or any other of the ones I mentioned?

I saw Apocalypse Now (Redux). Feel like I should've watched the original cut first because after they finally start going up the river the movie really slowed down for me. Ride of the Valkyries scene is still epic. DA DADADADA DA DADADA DA DADADA DA!!!!!!

Saw Avengers 2. I never thought I'd say this, but I think there were too many witty bits. Not as well paced as the first, but still awesome. James Spader was also a much better Reddington than an Ultron. I also saw Tucker and Dale Vs Evil. Was not expecting to like it, was great.
I saw "Seven Psychopaths" the other day. It was a really great movie. The style was rather reminiscent of Snatch somehow, but completely different. In any case, I heartily recommend it.
