I Googled this sh*t a long time ago when the release date guess thread opened up. I had to so I could formulate an appropriate guess.

I think the confusion came from Smitty's unfaltering desire for a Bday release date. That would've meant that SoA would have to start earlier. Which he theorized and even made seem plausible so no fault on his part.

The article in the link posted above was posted on July 9 of last year. So I would assume we can expect to get the release date in the first or second week of July. Just an educated guess tho...

How much notice is given for the release date/cost.

I still have to make an XBL account and would like to do so a couple day before the release, as well as pick up a points card.

Cost is 1200 MS points, or $15.00

I figured as much, and I don't mean to doubt you, but was that officially announced?

There was no "OFFICIAL!" announcement, but one of the developers mentioned that the price was 1200 ms pts in one of their posts.

It's going to be 1200.

And there is a $50 subscription fee as well for XBL.

But the first month is free when you initially sign up!
