MNC Nominated for Best Downloadable Game VGAs 2010

The Spike VGAs are a joke. Look at the nominations in any other category. They're awful. I'd rather Monday Night Combat not win, so we can avoid getting a massive influx of useless Assassins. We've got more than enough already.

Well it's not that I don't like it, I just don't think it's the right footage to use, considering a lot of the people watching that wouldn't have played this game before. It seems like the trailer should show all 6 classes and some gameplay, not just 1 class.

Also, why is Black Ops there. It's been out for what, a week? It's not possible to get a fair and unbiased opinion on something that new.

Im glad mnc got nominated and wanna see them win, any publicity is good publicity, yea im lame but its true. If all these new kids wanna play as horrible assassins then they will soon be put in their place

We hope this gets us more players as it's only going to help everyone's experience in finding games. Just remember only three months ago all of you were noobs.

I was never a noob. I went 2-0-29 in my first match because I was convinced you could get to those other arena-like things in the distance on G3. I tried lunging, smoke bombing, and dashing while looking for an invisible plane to get there. That's pure skill.

Weird. An award where there's actually competition? First time for everything, I guess.


Costume Quest: It's a Double Fine game and this award show is on Spike. One of these is much, much dumber than the other...

Guardian of Light: I've got nothing but shameless insults for the Tomb Raider franchise.

This year the nominees were picked by people from the game industry, game press, etc and are voted on by the same group. The only category that's voted by the public is Most Anticipated Game category.

Good luck guys! I think the more players , the more money uber gets the more money they will be able to put into continued support. As long as they buy the game who cares what class people play.

I find it odd, though...I've bought a ton of downloadable games this year, including all the nominees for best indie game, Joe Danger notwithstanding, and of the list of nominees for best downloadable game, Monday Night Combat is the only one I own, as I tried the demos for the other three and decided to either wait for a price drop (Costume Quest, Lara Croft) or skip altogether (Scott Pilgrim).

It's gonna come out on the 25th of Decemeber, and it will follow the pattern of so many other Christmas gifts. We'll open it up and be all excited by all the neat stuff about it. 1 hour later, we're sick of it and want to play more with the box.

I will pay $2.50 more for my patch to get a refrigerator box.

You think that's bad? Assassin's Creed 2: Brotherhood came out two days ago and it's on there. Donkey Kong Country Returns is on there too and it's not even out yet.

Scott Pilgrim is pretty great if you're an old fogey like me who remember arcade beat em ups and River City Ransom, but it's not really that remarkable (aside from the soundtrack) and the lack of online multiplayer was a /facepalm moment.

Congrats guys!! This is an amazing game and you deserve it. This community rocks and I have so much fun everyday coming home from a bad day at work and killing assassins!! :mrgreen:
