That would be wonderful. Having a good video resource for those new people searching youtube or for those of us on the forum would be great.

I do wish they were a bit more appearant but as my interactions with new guys have taught me if they are not willing to look for help or mention this is their first match or something they don't want help.

Its been frustrating trying to help these people who need help when others criticize me then and there. That and the communication is rough. I do hear more people using voice chat.

I have heard more people using the voice chat as well but I can't hardly hear them. Maybe I have to turn a setting up to hear them better? I'm usually in my own mumble server anyway though.

I've got the next MNC101 video planned out. I actually scripted this one and had a number of knowledgeable players proof it. I should be able to release it Monday or Tuesday if all goes well. It's going to be an overview of MNC with an emphasis on understanding bot lanes (playing objective-minded). If more people want to get involved, send me a PM and I'll get you my mumble or skype info. After the video I'm currently working on, I think I'll tackle assault first.

I was hoping to see a link to those tutorials Dove.

Anyway I obviously haven't gotten around to the nicely edited Support guide. The thing is I don't want to put all the time into getting people together and editing all the footage myself. It would take a ton of time and I have many other things I need to focus on. I didn't make a casual guide because I was hoping to see some of the progress you guys made and go from there.

However, last Friday I received a question on my weekly show to give some Tank and Sniper tips, so I made an hour-long casual guide for the episode. Should I do some more and post all these on the uber forums? I can whip these up a heck of a lot faster than professionally edited videos.

Tank and Sniper Video (turn the volume up after the intro, I messed up)

K/D ratio cannot be solely used to determine a players skill. Yes K/D has its place of importance, but MNC contains a few tactics where heavily sacrificing K/D will most likely ensure victory.

The biggest K/D sacrifice move I make is what I call the 'Moneyball Assassin'. As soon as the enemy's moneyball goes down (before overtime), I change to assassin with the sole intention of keeping it down. Once I spawn I rush to the moneyball and try to get a burst of shurikens off as soon as possible, even if it means death. Often doing this takes an enemy or two out of the game to defend. I pay almost no attention to those defenders, all I care about is hitting that moneyball so it stays down another 30 seconds for my team to clean up. And oftentimes I die as soon as I get that shot off, which means I am dying every 20-30 seconds with 0 kills. I believe keeping the moneyball down is more important than my K/D ratio.

Will this post help prove I am 'worthy' of showing new people the ropes? Who knows, but if you don't like it, then make your own videos.

Yea, thats exactly why you are bad, you can tap the ball without dying, save the damage you do into juice and then do much better moneyball rape

The assassin doesn't beat the gunner at tapping the ball. You can hit it from spawn on most maps. It's a **** move but it works.

    Edit:
I also wanted to mention that I've been seeing a large influx of new players. I just played a game with three level <10's.

They were asking about mechanics and whatnot and I answered all questions and gave a few strategic pointers. Was a good day.

I didn't read the whole thread, so I don't know if anyone suggested this... how about the coaching feature from TF2 implemented into MNC?

Well no wonder it's hard to teach newbies how to play, I just got banned from one of today's active servers for trying.

It's like the servers themselves are sabotaging the game, trying to scare off newbies as much as possible.

It's sad that most of the good players seem to have split themselves into separate clans. Makes playing them a chore if they end up on the same team.

A new player was asking me how to play assassin a few games ago when we were 2 vs 2. I told them to concentrate on getting gold armour, focusing bots to get juice and then downing turrets. And whaddya-know, they actually did exactly that. I actually had not much to do because they did such a good job of clearing them lanes and turrets. The other team had no idea what to do, so A* to that person (I think they added me on Steam anyway).

The reason the better players seperate themselves into their clans is because playing in a game where morons on your team lose the game for you certainly isn't fun. Playing an organised game of sniper golf or flapjack gunners however is.

Elitism also doesn't help their credibility, but you have a good point.

Well, Robinsons, you see.. the problem lies in the fact that if you dedicate a lot of your time to gather people and invest in a community like Velijah does, simply to see if you can get the tiny, but lovely community to join forces and have fun, well.. without any relations, you've just been marked as an arrogant elitist.

I mean who are we to tell people, right?!

    "But you're all jerks!" Really?

Hello, my name is Martin, everything I've ever posted has either had great relevance or a simple reply to a simpleminded provocative comment.
I'm a sarcastic ****, but with everything, sarcasm should be taken lightly and with a smile.
The issue isn't how you reply, it's the prejudism that follows by the ones that read your reply. The slightest mockery or any indication of sarcasm, and you've just been marked as a troll.

But I see the whole point of it being a club of dicks, since all we do is insult and in every single community topic, we've always been sure to mention the privacy of the community, and that you're required to fill a form to even be considered to join our high society.. no, wait..

We're just a couple of guys that love to game, and enjoy to meet new people.. but who says you have to love everyone in a community?! We love drama! I mean Aagren woke up Velijah, which put Velijah in the position of considering to go show up on his doorstep! Which would've been awesome 'cause we could've had a beer. I got off the track, but the point is, it would make Myst ever so happy if people wouldn't judge the community by a couple of persons like me or Vlane.. or Moose... or Wilder.. or sometimes Myst actually, and of course Robinson..

    Actually, nevermind..
