Considering you quoted me, no, the possibility that you were not referring to me never even crossed my mind.

I'm not annoyed with you. Just the constant whining, and moaning. Your posts have more validity than anyone else's from the dark side. The only thing that got my attention directed to you was the fact that you quoted me, with what seemed like you taking my post as directed to you. I'm still annoyed, and maybe I shouldn't make it so blatantly obvious to those who haven't been the source. But it's ridiculous.

As to the rights and whatnot, yep. I was just basically putting a direct challenge there. Really, it's as simple as me saying: "I disagree with your ideas, quite vehemently.", though that really only applies to, again, you quoting me with what seemed to be a defensive response as if I was targeting you specifically.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way:
What I was referring to. Yes, they're obviously exchanging plans, and say so several times. I quoted that, regardless, because of the fact that it's progress. There's, at least in my not so humble opinion, a big difference between simply planning, and acting on those plans. This seems to be them acting on those plans.

TL;DR Was more aggressive than necessary, still think you're wrong.

And, if I haven't already said this, though I think I have, can't remember:
I think Stretch has got it down. I seriously doubt that if we pick the top three, they're the only ones that will make it into the DLC, while the bottom three wont. In all honesty, they shouldn't have even added the option fix exploits. I'd 've hoped they'd be fixed regardless of our opinion on them, like they were before. Better performance and better matchmaking are nice of them to ask, but shouldn't be something we have to pay for. I understand that. But, if I had to choose between these options, (no cost involved) a better game takes a priority for me. If I had to pay and only get the top three, I'd pick the shiny new maps every time.

    1)Balance Adjustments
Additional escape doors (like PC), Airstrike cooldown, etc.

    2)Better Performance
Random Crashes, frame rate drop when players juice, etc.

    3)Exploits fixed
    Lazer Blazer Juicing, etc.

I'd be much happier if core elements were fixed first.
After that, nice big updates full of maps and game modes (if possible).

Random, I'm glad to see you've realized you went over the line. Just to make it official, it's really not a good idea to call people idiots, directly or otherwise. It's not really civil discourse,

On topic, an interesting point was raised. All the stuff I mentioned should be hit for free, but there should be things people have to pay to access. These should be inconsequential to gameplay, but still be cool enough for people to want them. I can't stand having to pay for characters like fighters do now. To that end, I can see:

    * New outfits. I'm concerned about performance issues, though. Complete sets seem better than customizable pieces.
    * Up to 2 new taunts. Up is still used for skills, but the others could be used most anywhere.
    * Video commercials to play after the game ends when the score board is shown. I have no problem extending the time for that. Just make it unaffected by host migration. That last part would be a bit of a tall order though, so I can forgive it.
    * Pitgirls on the field, working on turrets. Give her a door to hide in the turret area if it gets hit. Maybe even put her in the spawn area as she tries to restore shields.
    * MVP and revenge locator: Put icons by these people to single out those targets. Yes, this does technically affect gameplay, but it's really minor. No, this does not make the game team deathmatch.

Meh. I can admit my shortcomings, and my wrongs. I just hate to. Sore loser. That, and I hate the P.C. crap nowadays. Still, that was a bit much...

    *sigh*

Anywho OT: Seeing Pitgirl would be nice. Right now, I'm thinking less outside the box, hoping to get the basics resolved. Assuming those do get fixed without my constant insistence, all the awesome stuff from the PC version needs to get ported. Namely, the outfits/protags. And, neat little cosmetic stuff like that would be pretty sweet. They should be able to let people download that much without problems, right? I don't actually know the policy Microsoft (blegh) has with DLC. I would hope that such small, OPTIONAL, add-ons wouldn't be counted against their defined limits for DLC.

Bigger things, like the map edits, can wait if they jeopardize the size limit for the third (and final?) update.

I'm pretty sure they'd count. Now, I don't know about other shooters, but I'm pretty sure pay-to-play maps wouldn't work under the MNC system of random maps in public lobbies.

As someone who hosts Airsoft combat events in real life, (Eastern Iowa Airsoft) I can tell you that Matchmaking, Matchmaking, Matchmaking must be fixed!
I wouldn't even consider hosting an Airsoft event with lopsided or stacked teams and neither should Uber.

"Group Photo taken on 3/12/11" That's me in the lower right corner. :)

    -------------------------------------------------

MAPS: All the new maps in the world won't matter if basic matchmaking is broken. I can't tell you how many times I've either quit out of a game or just flat-out stopped playing MNC because the computer would stack the teams every single time. More maps would be great...but only after Matchmaking is fixed.

    Balance Adjustments
It's pretty obvious that the Assault needs to be fixed or modified in some way. The turrets could also use some adjustments.

When I host Airsoft skirmishes with real players, one of my priorities is balance and fairness. The game is almost always ruined without balance.

    Here's a game I hosted a few days ago:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oI1e2ae8GiQ

The teams were fairly balanced!

Yes. It was blatant advertising. But it was a pretty darn good example...don't you think?

Just a wee bit defensive there mate.

Ha. See that silly combination of accents? It's funny.

Like I said, valid points, as I'm sure many would agree. It was just funny how they were presented.

The difference is you've got people putting down $hundreds, whereas this stuff here is $15. We can easily leave and play elsewhere for no risk, not so your customers. Matchmaking is good, but not top priority.

Matchmaking is the ONLY thing I would consider delaying for balance. Well, that and performance issues.

Those two would be lovely. I crave them. But, as they are just a part of the game, and not game breaking, I could be persuaded to taking new maps over them.

It's really a toughie. Either new maps to keep those with a smaller reserve of patience than I, or, improved game mechanics for little ol' me.

:| I recognize the need for a greater good here, but it's annoying that I might have to wait longer because of some people's selfishness.....

Assuming, of course, that these are not ALL addressed with DLC.

I just realised - why no option for "more fixes for private matches"?
