I find it funny that everyone wanted to know how to do it but since we decided to keep it under wraps you all get upset. I guess it's because you don't get to be the maestro and change all the settings. It's only 1 room out of X amount of rooms. Like you all have always said just quit if you don't like it.

I hate when I am looking to play a few pick-up games and I get put against teams, I wish there was a way to avoid them. Oh wait I can, just quit.

I think I was the only one on Oxyteam that really wanted to know how to do this (unless others have stated otherwise on XBL and not on the forums).

I don't think there needs to be any drama here. :p

I reread my previous post and it came off sounding like much more negetive than I wanted. If you guys are doing your public privates and I do end up in your game, I'll probably quit, because if I really wanted to do something like that, it would be with nothing but friends in an actual private match. I have no real problem with you guys doing those public private matches. I was just wondering if anyone knew a good way to avoid their game to begin with...

Just to clear it up my post wasn't aimed at one or two people. Me and Futtbuck have gotten a few messages asking how to do it, but once we told them we were keeping it to ourselves that got all mad. To be honest it gets boring really fast. Also the times we have done the "custom publics" it was with mostly friends or players asking to join.

Well Billy, I'm keeping the trick to just me and Stretch so it doesn't become TF2. But if you don't want to play lulzy 5 assassins 1 tank games, just leave if you think somethings up. And besides, we play plenty of normal-ish games with no juice buying, limited classes (so one team doesn't get effed over for having 3 dumbASSassins) twenty minutes game time and five minute over time.

Also, if for some reason we host an hour long lobby with twenty minute over time, don't leave if you start loosing because you don't keep the $8,000 you earned in the match.

I wasn't being negative either. It was actually awesomely fun with all tanks.
Knowing how to do it would be effin' awesome.
But like I've said over and over again, It's your guys' call.

And i appologize for being a jerk, but when two people in your party ask for a straight up game, it'd be lovely if you obliged.

Do what you want, i just don't think one person should control a whole lobby (hence why id idn't even keep playing TF2)

That guy was such a noooooooob. $8,000 down the toilet

    @Rev and Billy,
Just quit out if you don't want to play. It's not like we're going to come straight on here and be like "OMFG, OxyTeam RAAAAAAAAGED so hard against us! FlameFlameFlame"

It's pretty safe to say that everyone here was excited when the private match options were announced. The problem is, nobody uses them. Mostly because there aren't enough people to fill a game. The only time it'd really be used is if the devs were playing (or for tournaments/MLG)

With this, we can experiment with some really unique game modes in a public setting, having full 6-on-6 games.... and people enjoy it. Obviously some people insta-quit, but we never see them again. There's so many games going on at the same time that you're unlikely to end up back in our game. Some of the games we've played are:

5 Gunners, 1 Sniper on every team
    6 Tanks on each team
    6 Assaults on each team
6 Supports on each team (ow, shotgun :( )

We just like to play the game for fun. Last night, OfficerFuttBuck and I went around using only shuriken launcher face-grapples, and then doing some Splode A Pro's :p

When we can mess with the game settings, it lets us have a whole new level of fun, and randoms enjoy it because they stay with us over numerous games. Honestly, don't bash it until you've tried a 6 vs 6 Tank game. That was one of the most fun games I've ever played.

As long as only 2 or 3 people know how to do it, and they're all playing in the same game, it's not doing any harm. If there were 2 or 3 modded lobbies, I could see your point, but 1 is easily avoidable

I'm eager to play MNC. When I get a party invite or join a party to play MNC, it's not because I want to play a custom match that's all assassin's with 50 minute overtime. It's fun maybe, MAYBE, twice. But then I just want to play straight up MNC. I don't think anyone on Oxy is eager to play these a lot or dying to figure out how to customize matches. We're too busy ruining the community to **** around with the settings.

I really don't think anything more needs to be said guys. If you come up against a public private that you don't want to play in, just leave. Everyone that are hosting these are fine people, and would understand completely. No more explanation needed.

That's kind of tricky because if someone joins or leaves just as I back out or try to save the settings it reverts back to the previous settings. Also since we are in the match settings it's hard to tell if players come and go.

I will say this though, and I am not sure if it was intentional, when the host goes into the settings it stops the countdown timer which is something we all wanted. Also after the game is over it becomes like the room just started then teams are made. So for regular private matches we are now able to wait for others to join and not have the same teams every game.

That didn't happen to me that much, but on the other hand force random classes messes up often when you have a limited amount of classes.
