they should just revert back to original balance, then maybes all the people who left might play again for 1-2 rounds

So then you are saying that the first set of balance changes (light classes armor/ Sniper) are what causes depopulation?

I did not quite understand the need for it but it made me play more cautiously and made me a more aware player.
