I like the idea of rising the price more, myself.

If you have the money, you should be able to buy it. A needed rush/push, for safety. Telling the player he'd only get half, and make everyone else STILL wait a minute doesn't seem very fair.

well if i was a dev and it were up to me completely i would make the vendor sell less per purchase and also move the vendors from the middle of the map to 1 or 2 of them inside each spawn. then place bacon vendors in the middle of the map for 1500$ per try ,i say try because it would work like a casino machine match 3 bacon u get the bacon and if you dont then you it just spews out about almost the amount of pickups the jackbot drops.

Best idea yet, this would be perfect.

Lol. This is why we have the quote function ;)

I just don't find the concept of giving less for the same price as effective as giving the same for a greater price. It just seems like unnecessary programing, as far as I can tell. Maybe it'd be easier? I dunno. But, even then, if you HAVE the money to buy Juice three times in a row for $2500, then I say you damned deserve it.

Otherwise, you're punishing other players because some selfish *** decides he'd blow your chance to get full juice for a full minute or longer, just so he can get half?

And while I'd love a chance to buy Bacon/Churros, I'd rather see juice get fixed first.

i rarely use the quote button , i have a pet peeve with quote trains.

yes it might be a bit harsh with my idea, if the price increased each purchase what would you like to see in the amount increase?

i would say first is 500$ second 750$ third and every other time 1000$

I'm just gonna go ahead and throw out a crazy idea here. Maybe only let pros currently being healed by a support or firebase gain juice. Naturally the support would earn small amounts, but not much. I think this would create some true teamwork in this game, which is obviously what the developers were going for, but didn't get much of. I see too many lone assaults and tanks steamrolling an entire team working team due to sheer skill.

I think juice is perfect the way it is . People can waste money and get kills with juice all they want . But if they dont save money , and buy juice at the right times they are not going to win the game with it .

I didn't know a wrong time to use juice existed.

I just mean if your bots are almost to the ball , run buy juice and confront there team so the bots get through , not just for buying juice and running around randomly looking for dudes.

If you've amassed enough of a lead to juice chain and get kills, then more than likely you're going to win.

Even if people do waste money by "running around looking for dudes", it just means there's less people out to hinder your teams progress.

This is a TERRIBLE idea. And if that person is steamrolling a team due to sheer skill, they sort of deserve it.
I bet you are one of the people that think death streaks in MW2 are a good idea.

    How'd I miss that?

Where are all these ideas coming from. C'mon people. Stick with the program.

You can't change core concepts. Change NUMBERS.

Rate of gain, the amount of damage, how long it lasts. These will prove MUCH more likely to be put into effect.

i think it is worth mentioning that there are two different play styles that need to be considered; competitive and casual. any nerf needs to be applied to both.

Or we could just leave those for the custom options in privates.

Oh yeah, I didn't really think through that. I was just on a little streak of comparing Team Fortress 2 to MNC. You are right, though. No matter how much I'm proving your point here, I do think deathstreaks (besides martyrdom and final stand) were a reasonable idea. Also, I think killstreaks were done wrong.

Edit: forgot to continue to my second idea.

Another bad idea, skip if you are truly not in the mood to read crap.

I think I agree with the original poster (in the title name, I haven't read the first page in a day so I forgot.) I think juice should be a bit harder to get, and buying juice should be a little bit cheaper, but only fill up half or around 3/4 of the bar, meaning the proportion of cash to juice is better for the buyer, but bad for the buyer in the way that it takes other efforts to get full juice.

    what about this.. another idea

Remember the healing units in half-life? u walk to it press a button and as you stay near it and hold down your button the health gauge would fill.

what if the juice vendor worked like that , a full tank cost 1-2k(price up for debate) to fill from empty to full (and would fill about the same speed of half life's heath machine..maybe a lil slower), the price hike would compensate for the new ability to top off your juice gauge if you want.

This is much more reasonable. Though, I still think 1k is too much.

    $750, maybe. But not $1,000.

The only thing that should cost that much, besides a repeated juice buyer, is Bacon.

Still, the problem arises when you are, once again, changing core concepts. While this is closer to the idea, problems arise when you bring up the timers. Does it have a relationship to how much you buy? Can you keep on using it until a full bar has been consumed, which then automatically locks it for a minute? If a full bar is not bought, is there an invisible timer that counts down, still letting you buy more, until a direct relationship to amount of juice bought equals 60 seconds hits?

While it could work, and quite well, I still don't think chances of it being considered are that high until it's closer to changing more numbers than functions.
