I upgrade it to three, as I rarely buy juice unless I'm trying to end a match, or abuse an obnoxious enemy (usually a mid-field gunner that refuses to move, or a sniper)

Watched the vid. That's pretty sick.

I'm not resting easy with the "not only do the turrets not hurt the other team, they make them stronger" aspect of this. I don't blame you for doing it (hell, I'm gonna go play with tanks now) - I just think it's broken.

I'm just glad not all tanks know how to do what you showed.

That video is why I get annoyed when people build lazer blazers close to arches and doorways instead of Shav ice.

the Tank was just a side class I used when I got bored until I read this guide. Now I'm using it 90% of the time I play. Great work on the guide.

Never used Tank, not even once.

But after seeing the deploy video gaining juice. I just have to say WTF!?!

I'll consider this class after I finish Support Career Achievements.

Re-reading my guide today, I may need to update it since I don't play with RoF 90% of the time.

Hey Hudson, I have a few questions. Forgive me if these have already been asked, I don't feel like reading through 13 pages.

1. What button layout do you use? Tactical for aiming the stickerz or do you claw?

2. Don't you need to update the moneyball part since Uber nerfed the railgun on it?

3. Can I add you on Live? You seem like someone fun to play with, or do you only play with OxyTeam and such?

1. I don't claw. I don't have enough time to learn how to now, nor do I want to. People that can claw will do have a higher potential skill cap than people who don't though. If you can learn it, go for it. I use default layout with 3 sensitivity.

2. The tank sucks vs the moneyball now IMO. Deploying on it at point blank with the jet gun is your best bet, but unless you are solo sieging it, I would always focus on pro control/bot control if the turrets are all dead.

He is Pretty good at tickling a downed ball with the rail gun and cluster bombs though.

3. You can add me. No guarantees on when ll play with you though. I've been trying to play with lots of non oxy friends lately, but I'm also spending less time on xbl in general this month.

What endorsement sey-ups do you use now? You mentioned not using RoF anymore, so I'm curious as to what it could be.

Two main builds:

Speed/Armor/Skill for Pub Stomping/Fun

RoF/Armor/Skill for more competitive games, or against lots of assaults/gunners.

I flip flop between which of these is my primary build on a daily basis. The biggest change in my philosophy is that Armor is an absolute must on Tanks in the current metagame. Crit builds are becoming more and more common on assault and gunners, which are your biggest threats at mid/close range. The buff to all hit detection we have seen since the title update also makes the bullet spray classes much more deadly against tanks.

I swap round Speed and Skill. You could still use this for pub stomps. I mean with the little bit of speed and then your dash ability, which I use to move around a lot, will be usable a lot more. Or do you just put speed on for lols? I haven't tried it before...maybe this game.. :idea:

Updated the guide to reflect the adjustments to my build and play-style due to the balance changes in the DLC and the shift in the meta game. Also included notes on my Jumping/Death Blossom technique.

Gotta say as much fun as the sniper is the Tank takes the prize. After finally breaking down the other day I spent 4 hours(just got home from kilington and my legs were shot) learning the tank. :lol: So glad I did, This is a class that is impossible to not have fun with. wether ability spam, grappleing people or railgun cloaked SINs I can't stop laughing. Gregg and I played for so long, only talking in a spanish pirate voice (not sure if he has done his commentary or not yet) but I had a blast. I heard on your commentary that your speed build is a fun one, I want to try it but I use my railgun primarily and am trying to learn to claw. So would a speed armour rate build be good?

I think Hudson has changed his build somewhat and his opinion on using speed as an endorsement. If you're a railgunner, then RoF/Armor/Skill is a good standard tank build.
