I've been tinkering with deploy recently. Level 1 lazer blazers give you juice insanely quickly as well. I juiced in the first 20 seconds of the match because the other team built all level 1 laser blazers.

Deploy is actually INSANELY useful with the right build, but you will have to sacrifice other key aspects of the tank to use it well.

See. I told you Deploy was useful. But for a different reason. :D

i thought the turret would kill you before you gained juice from it.....i think i should test this...lvl 2 deploy is my guess?

The level of deploy does not matter, because any damage taken stops the health regen, I believe.

Armor/Passive level make big differences, but I know you can go from 0-100 juice against lvl 1 and probably lvl 2 lazers without much difficulty (unless another pro notices you of course).

Against LvL 3 laser blazers you should probably consider getting 30%-40% of your juice meter filled beforehand.

Only if its hacked. As long as you deploy as SOON as it can shoot you, you should be able to juice before it kills you, destroy the turret and whoever might come to deal with you.

I've also noticed firebases give you almost NO juice when you're deployed, as well as other sources. It has to be enemy laser fire. Bots/Lazerblazers do it, but not bullet/explosive/heal-hurt. Also, if you have a bouncer bearing down on you, deploy. It'll give you pretty good juice while you jetgun its face in relative safety.

I can confirm the firebase for sure.

Gremlin waves are my new favorite thing to juice off of (they come to your base :) ).

I wonder... juice is gained while taunting if you get hit. Imagine a gunner with a support healing him, parking in front of a lazerblazer and taunting until juice. I wonder if that would work?

If it does it'll work with any class assuming you can finish the taunt and back off before you die.

It would work in theory with the gunner (and he already has deploy too!).

Supports would be needed for the lighter classes most likely, since they can't blind turrets to get away and have considerably lower health without damage reduction.

So the Lazer Blazer is a juice machine for tanks?

I had already thought the "less damage to pro from lazer blazer change" was bad - but with this new info it helps your insta juice and gives you $25-35 when you get around to killing it.

Well if I am able to walk up to a Lazer Blazer, deploy, gain juice, de-deploy and wreck havoc I'd say that's not the games fault.

A deployed tank is BAIT for a headcrab/stuck airstrike/gunner, as the tank is going to be watching his juice bar/health for whether or not its time to bail on the juice building or not. It takes an unaware team not to hear one of their lazerblazers going off like crazy.

I am just soaking up all these builds, ideas, and strategies, now I will have to decide if I stick with my Gunner (using that guide to beginners, or do I make the jump to something more beefy)

Btw, you might want to change that. The link in your sig. is to your 6 build guide.
Oh yeah that's really helpful dude.

if you dont wana be bored to tears, use gunner on longer maps, and tank on windy-close-range maps.

jumping from a tank to a gunner, or a gunner to a tank, isnt too hard of a jump.

that, and maybe learn support. thats also not hard, just keep your turrets up and your base protected. trust me, if you just look at a turret every minute, your doing your team a service, so imagine how good you will be to your team when your doing that and covering territory in the battlefield and supporting combat pros...

...because three minutes later, your team wont be asking "hey, whered all those turrets we had go? they were here when i spawned... three spawns ago. did i really miss that they were being destroyed as i left the base?"

I'm thinking about rewriting this whole thing. My philosophy has changed a bit after testing different builds.

Also, I abuse the hell out of deploy now, and actually upgrade it to 2.

I hope you do Hudson, I'm no where as good of a tank as you, (barely a 2 K/D ratio playing pubs) but I've gotten noticeably better reading your guides and responses to other's guides.

I was gonna start working on it this weekend, but I'm buying an HDR PVR capture card around monday or tuesday of the coming week, so I'm gonna hold off until then so I can get some footage of the things I want to add, as they are difficult to explain in text only.

Haha, I started working on my new Tank guide this past weekend. I figured since everyone will be able to see our endorsements when the DLC comes that I should write up a guide. A better one then last time at that.

I have a cap card too and like you said some things are easier to show then to explain with text. I am not sure if I am going to make a video though.

Over the time I have played Tank he has really become my favorite Character and Class. My way of playing Tank is like no other and it'll be interesting to see what comes when both of our guides are up and finished.
