I have read most of the Goku vs. Superman links. It all depends on what you consider canon - the problem is that Superman has SO MANY different versions that it is hard to pin which one could do what.

I got to go with 40K for a dark distopian galaxy spiraling the drain, StarWars for something with a bit of optimism. They are both good in different ways. Although a 40K army would mop the floor with a StarWars army, assuming that you have fleet numbers accurate; there were not that many Super Star Destroyers and only the 1.5 death stars but there were TONS of world ships. One Eldar Craft World would certainly be the equivalent of a Death Star and there are a few of them left still.

Actually there were about 250,000 super star destroyers versus about 80,000 or so Luna class cruisers (back bone of the imperial fleet) WH40K has range, fire power ,and strength. Star wars has logistics , range , and innovation. There are about the same amount of spess mahrines as there are Jedi . But aren't pre horus heresy ships faster because there isn't as many disturbances in the warp ?

And is it 250k SUPER Star Destroyers, or just Star Destroyers? The SSD is the really big black one; I thought it was like 20 or so? Regular SD your numbers are probably right.

Probably just star destroyers. Also I do think WH40K would win but the war would last over 100 years with them just grinding each other down through attrition.

Actually I did some research and star wars ships can only travel on replanted routes at their speed which gives them a huge defensive advantage but a disadvantage when it comes to attacking
