Lava on horizon?

We need this slightly sexual looking lava as our lava.

Fluidus lava = 16GB minimum ram (exaggerating obviously)

It depends how good the lava is.

If it's good enough, I'll upgrade my PC for it!

Just need to make it like water, but with a bright, fancy shader. And obviously no pathing... Unless you want your commander to walk absent-mindedly into the lava.

Alternately, if the decals supported emissive textures...

Lava was a fluid when it was first implemented.

The problem with water lava, is that lava shouldn't be like that, even on a lava world it's not going to behave like water.

And besides, what about possible lava on jungle planets and earth planets? We need lava, and then also water.

What we need is a lava that isn't water, but is also not just a .png on the floor.

It needs to be more like a Armageddon landscape of fissures, pools, rock spires and fire.

You haven't paid Uber enough to remake From Dust.
Also, an 'armageddon landscape' is not lava. It's a biome that includes some lava.

In the sense that water in PA is a tiling layer on a planet that fills over low-lying areas, lava is going to be exactly like water.

The current lava biome is a biome that 'includes some lava'

And to be honest, lava should be just filling low lying areas, it should be flowing from fissures and volcanos, sloping around on the surface.

Might not be the most popular opinion but I say make it look good ....I don´t care about realism.
